Punk is definitely calling in that favor to Heyman. It’s gonna be a Triple Threat match.

Cena vs Punk vs Cody.

I take every negative thing I said about Levesque’s booking abilities recently back.

Phenomenal turn.

LMAO
Triple H in the conference call told reporters he didn’t even tell the production truck the turn was coming because they were afraid of leaks

I mean, on one hand, I can’t blame him - this was probably the most shocking turn to happen in an age, considering just how long Cena had been a Face

On the other hand, I have to wonder - would anyone have believed this kinda report? Considering there were “Cena Heel Turn” stories floating around for years that all turned out to be nothing, I would imagine most people who look for this kind thing would either ignore it or think “they’re trying to find out who’s feeding Meltzer stories again”…

I wonder if cena is actually retiring at 2025 or he'll stick around till mania 42. I can't imagine cena retiring on a random episode of raw considering triple h nixed December ples.

I'm enjoying the heck out of this heel turn. The best kind of swerves are the ones you don't really expect, but it just makes sense when you look back on it.

It definitely helps that Cena has made a career in Hollywood as a bad guy in films and TV.

I'll fully admit, I was putting my money on a CM Punk heel turn. The amazing thing about Pro Wrestling is that this morning, if you told me it was gonna be Cena - Cody, I would have groaned. Now I'm stoked and I am looking forward to the fan reaction for the next Cena promo in the ring.

Why? It would have been great even if neither turned heel.
I fully admit, I've never been a Cena (the character) fan. I mostly got turned off by his push to the moon and the character was never a hit with me (I'm an old fart). Him being older now just makes the character even sillier in my eyes.

Cena always reminded me of Hulk Hogan in WCW. Just a stale character that never really grew into anything more interesting. I think a lot of people forget that Hogan was in WCW for a number of years before the NWO story line. He was really starting to bomb with audiences and PPV numbers were dropping. The heel turn completely reignited his career.

I sure as shit didn't expect the Cena retirement tour to include a Hollywood Hogan heel turn.

I fully admit. My old ass marked out. I feel like a kid again.
