Because all of those things are objectively true. For the story to actually work he'd have to prove them wrong, and literally nothing about his current presentation does.
 
one of the good parts that comes from Jey winning the rumble is the potential chimpout from CM Phil bemoaning for not getting his Mania main event spot

this, I don't see why people are so upset, yeah at first I was fucking shocked Jey managed to get a win with Cena,Punk,Roman,and Seth also participating, but I was by no means angry, literally no one had this on their bingo card, especially with Jey losing to Gunther, ill give Haitch props for actually being unpredictable, it seems like hes reading seething twitterfags complaining about predictablity and just went with Jey, and he can main event Night 1 with Gunther while Night 2, which is usually the stronger card gets Cody and Cena, people just overreact to shit.

There were too many NXT appearances if you ask me. Roxanne Perez and Giulia were fine, but the spots given to Lash Legend and Jaida Parker should have been given to Elektra Lopez and Blair Davenport, both of whom came up to the main roster last year and have not been featured much.

I’m surprised at how many people here chimped out about CM Phil not winning. Personally I think that Cena vs Gunther and Punk vs Cody is the best way to go. Maybe Cena can beat Breakker for the IC title then drop it to Sheamus.

Personally, I see Cena losing several times until he succeeds.

So the story is that Jey is a shit worker who is only where he is because he's related to the Rock, is "entrance over" and sells lots of t-shirts.

Thrilling stuff. It's not like they just did the exact same thing with Roman for the past few years. Are we going to have to cycle through this nonsense with every Anoaʻi family member for the next 2 decades?

As regards WWE, I only watch the Rumble and Mania because of this utter fucking twaddle and Jey winning the Rumble means i won't even bother with Mania this year.

Well, they make truck loads of money with this story line.

Also seems like they write the storylines for people that actually watch the show.

Don’t know where this fits in that conversation but I know for a fact there is a large contingent of WWE fans who only consume WWE through YouTube videos. Most of these fans are Indians.

this, its clowns who are just on the internet 24/7 with no sense of reality, normalfags have been enjoying WWE especially since HHH had first taken over, these types of people just want to find things to complain about, Jey for sure wasn't my first choice but im not seething at Triple H and WWE every waking hour, its these armchair bookers who think they can book better and normal people will find it entertaining no matter what when its simply not the case, they are the worst types of fans and thats how you end up with shit like AEW they cant even break a milly

That's kind of wild as I think I was the only one who said anything about Punk losing and it is weird to characterize it as 'chimping out.' Do we want to take a look at your posting this time last year?

I'm for anything that increases the odds of Punk malding out and losing it because he's not getting his 'Wrestlemania moment.' I don't care about him otherwise because he brings nothing else to the table for me. Like I said, there's lots of scenarios up in the air and potential storylines.
