Now that I think of it, I was completely foolish to think Cena would win. His Raw on Netflix promo and post show scrum told everyone all they needed to know about his final run. It would face setback after setback until he finally wins the big one.
He will not win the chamber. He *might* win Money in The Bank again. Or he might qualify for a main event at SummerSlam or something akin to that. There’s zero story in just handing him the victory. His entire story for the past couple years has been that he can’t get the job done alone anymore. People just need to pay attention.
Are the smarks in the room with us right now?
There’s at least one.

People who think there’s no story in Jey Uso winning at Mania and it “making no sense” are retarded. It doesn’t matter if it was last week that he lost to Gunther.
Jey’s entire story for the past 6 months has been “You’re not actually a main eventer Jey, you’re just a tag team wrestler.”

Dislikes on a YouTube video doesn’t mean much to WWE when the roof comes unglued every time he appears. He’s consistently one of the top merch sellers on the roster. It’s like when Internet losers call Cody boring but the roof blows off when he shows up and you can’t hear him speak over how loud the “Cody! Cody! Cody!” chants are.

"Oh no a bunch of angry basement dwellers disliked a youtube video this proves that I'm definitely not the angry contrarian"
Exactly. Even Cody himself admitted that he didn’t believe #WeWantCody would do anything until he heard the people boo The images of The Rock out of the building and shout We Want Cody to the tops of the rafters.
He didn’t believe it would do anything when it was just the internet.

Charles's ratio is even worse.

I would definitely say that these were the worst winners in a long while. Neither wrestler needed the win.

Is it Jey Uso that's getting over or is it the entrance?

Maybe Jimmy is more to blame for last year's dogshit WrestleMania match but it takes two to tango. It just surprises me that Jey's getting a showcase match after that.

Jey is over but guy can't wrestle, can't talk, him yelling and moving like a caveman is the only thing he has, almost like the Ultimate Warrior but without the larger than life character.

Cody vs Owens was the only thing worth watching. They really need to ditch the whole female royal rumble, it's too much and takes away from the main one, people were cheering when they announced the MALE Royal Rumble was coming up, doesn't do the women any favors.

That said, the Rumbles are a mess and boring without Pat Patterson, at least having only one doesn't make you realize the tropes and checklist as easily. The rumble shouldn't be boring.

“There is no story with Jey Uso.”

There's 100% a story. The story is him being told he's not good enough, being told he's "just a tag team wrestler" and that he and Jimmy are just face swaps of each other. About Gunther demeaning him and calling him a clown and a joke.

How is there no story?

Then there's his history with Cody and the possibility of Cody snapping and destroying him. We saw Codylander get teased last night and Cole even said "Cody Rhodes finally realizes that he has no friends in this business."

Plenty of ways to go.
