Cornette is a Trump supporter in all but name, brother.
- He finds 20th century racy humor funny.
- He's pretty damn sexist.
- He inevitably loathes people further left than him in all but politics.

The fact he can seemingly get along with and think highly of all the former talent until learning they support the Drumphler is just sheer bitch-made retardation, It's not about left vs right or whatever.
Bryan Danielson is a guy who's just as if not more left than Jim yet you're not seeing people give shit for based on his politics alone, and Trump supporters like EC3 and Braun Strowman get repeatedly clowned on here.

It is. X-Pac was tweeting like a jilted lover at Kane for not embracing BLM and the Summer of Love 2020.
When Kane reminded Pac of their friendship and that they are still friends despite their differences in opinion (like Kane & Daniel Bryan), the 1-2-3 Kid burned that bridge with a tirade of swearing and denouncements directed at Kane. Absolutely wild to see Waltman end a friendship over feral niggers looting stores.

You wanna soapbox, make a snide remark or whatever? Sure. Wanna say something worthwhile, even if it's outside the normal reach of your podcast or whatever? Sure.

Vince leaving really helped WWE regain lapsed fans, even my Brother-in Law who is more of a casual fan was talking about Priest vs Gunther today, the real benefit for WWE is that they know how to appeal to a broad audience without annoying more hardcore viewers too much, AEW just appeals to the hardcore Smark Reddit Neckbeards and are suffering for it, they dont want to accept the fact that Wrestling is more supposed to be a TV Show then about the actual wrestling itself. I feel like Normalfags returning to WWE really helped put the general wrestling discourse against Smarks as they were the dominant culture in the IWC from like 2013-2020, Wrestling literally is the one medium of entertainment to benefit from mass appeal

its unfortunate 90% of Cornette's wrestling takes are correct, but hes just so autistic on any other topic that he can't handle an even slightly differing opinion, in a way I feel bad for him because he's one of those boomers whose suffering internet brainrot and has gone even more militant with his opinion (believe me older generations are not immune from this, and in some cases worse as they didnt grow up with social media and they dont know how to handle it)

It's been said alot (or at least similar things have been) but it's true, Cornette is great for old territory knowledge or stories of when he worked in the business, but anything past about the year 2000 he's pretty much clueless about.

Just watch his old shoot interview about how he would've booked the Invasion, it was retarded, booking old stars and people he liked while ignoring actual hot big stars (I think he either ignored Goldberg or shoved him in a multiman match or something), and fantasy booked Terry Funk in a big singles PPV match. That would've took place in 2001. I love Terry Funk, but there's a reason why his ceiling during the attitude era was a nostalgic gatekeeper hardcore run in ECW in 97.

I wouldn't go that far. He has some bad takes and some disconnect, but he's still more on the dot than not when it comes to logical storytelling in pro wrestling. He's nowhere near the sacrosanct soothsayer that his diehard fans make him out to be though.
 
Cornette is entertaining to listen to even if he's spewing nonsense. I don't care if he's disowning former friends over political nonsense. Unless he's using it as an excuse to go apeshit tough guy on them because what's funnier than a rotund guy in his sixties threatening people?

To get this back about pro wrestling, this year's' G1 Climax has been really good so far.
