Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful(via Fightful Select) reports that Punk was terminated by a disciplinary committee, which included AEW General Counsel Chris Peck and an outside attorney. Additionally, Sapp writes that Bryan Danielson was involved in the committee. One AEW source calling the veteran ann “appropriate moral compass who exemplifies objectivity.” This source noted that Danielson effectively headed up and was the face of the committee.

Per Sapp, Danielson was said to have spoken to the roster when he addressed Punk’s termination and stated that the decision was hard to make. Danielson said Punk’s exit was the decision that had to be made. He also cited the positives Punk brought to the company and his friendship with Punk, which dates back years.

Sapp writes that Danielson echoed what he told talent about Punk when he tweeted that the “right thing is often the hardest thing to do” on November 27, just days after Punk returned to WWE.
Yeah I'm taking anything srs says with a grain of salt

not only won't he be allowed to do a G1 tournament in Japan (which is one of the reasons he ditched the WWE)
Don't be a mark. Bryan was obviously saying that to appeal to the few turbo smarks who are still watching NJPW and the AEW fans who pretend to watch NJPW.
Kingston, Yuta, Lance Archer are guys Tony will send to Japan for a month or two, Bryan is one of his key guys and was never going to fuck off to have watered down soft style matches with David Finlay or Tama Tonga.
He's working against Okada at the dome because Okada can work soft strong style matches well, you can't guarantee that with a G1 field. God forbid Nicholls dropped Bryan on his head instead of Henare this year.

I also think Tony is running the Tranny1 because he's panic booking, not to placate Danielson. Sadly, he completely missed out on the pageantry of the G1 (announced long enough before the start to create match intrigue, notable guests, setting up angles at the presser, weaving in a years worth of storylines) and only saw it as being a vehicle for "good wrestling matches"

I mean all his injuries were self inflicted, not some kind of over the top and crazy move. No clue what the future holds for wrestling promotions, AEW lost me as a regular viewer months ago due to it becoming insanely boring and not having any real coherent storylines but I watch on occasion and read what is going on. It is just a matter of time until Punk implodes or injures himself, I just never saw the appeal of him to be honest.
It doesn't matter if they were self-inflicted, it's about what the booker/talent wants to give their audience. AEW is all about choreography and glorified dance routines of flips and indie-style wrestling, whereas WWE is slower, like I said before.

I doubt he will be injured because the WWE doesn't expect legendary talent to be doing flips and shit in their 40s (look at Edge, Undertaker, Orton, Rey Mysterio, Sheamus), whereas in AEW they want the talent to fucking kill themselves, including the veterans (Big Show, Jeff Jarrett, Christian, Jericho, Sting, now Edge, god knows what the fuck Ric Flair is doing). It's because Tony wants his toys to act like they did when he was a kid.

We need an updated list for 2024 of dimeless AEW shitters that Tony needs to cut. He’s making progress but he’s got to trim the fat.
Aaron Solo should be next. Red Velvet. Lee Jackson is over on ROH and he's at least improving. Griff no longer has a place unless he becomes a returning Jack Perry's second as they look similar and could make for a good heel team. It's not like he's bad. Stings retiring next year so that will free up some cash as is Danielson, though it looks like he'll take a producer role after since he's been doing that over on Collision.
Anthony Ogogo can be dropped, as can that one guy from Jersey Shore, sure it's okay in the ring. Makes for a good midcard act with his size and look, but he needs some time to stew in the indies before going back. He was just Dark fodder and Dark is no longer a thing.

Tony needs to bring back all of the old ROH talent because no one is tuning into see the AEW guys that don't get used on three shows. People watch ROH to watch the ROH guys, however those ROH guys just get jobbed out to Tony's toys so anyone who wants to watch ROH now because they like the AEW product just see a bunch of jobbers. They'll even get jobbed out to the AEW talent there.

Is Rhea Ripley a troon, or just rather unsightly?
She's such a polarising wrestler lol. You're either in the "she's perfect without the makeup" camp or the "she's an unsightly man" camp.

Personally I think she's pretty decent looking, and the Aussie factor helps (since I'm Australian too), but her physique is very masculine so I can see why a lot of people consider that a turn-away.

Ever the self promoter

Anyone knows which numbers Collision/Rampage did on Saturday and how Raw did on Monday?
Per some Google-Fu, per this article Rampage did 233,000, while Collision did 294,000. Fightful I think tried to split the difference and said 270,000, which might be combined, idk.

If true, yeah I can get why WBD, if they’re actually interested in Wrestling, would be trying to get WWE on their network…

Don't worry AEWubbalos, the Jewish house wife demo will save the company
Introducing MJF’s Alter Ego: Superkike!

He should be happy that he managed to keep a job in AEW
“He should be happy that he managed to keep a job in AEW”
He whines, tears streaming down his face as he runs into the next room to comfort himself with his Jewish housewife’s (most likely) huge Joobs.

It’s since she’s joined Judgement Day. She wasn’t as bad when she didn’t have that nasty black lipstick and had the blonde
hair.

He’ll wait his contract out and go back to The Fed to finish his career. All the Ex WWE guys will.
i could see this being the case for some of the younger guys maybe. but people really seem to be forgetting that the people who went to aew were generally never being used by wwe either because they are one injury away from dying in the ring like edge or danielson or because they are generally useless when you have younger guys that can do far better. wwe only needs so much enhancement talent after all.

as far as danielson is concerned however i do not think he will ever have a match in wwe again. he could become a trainer but at the same time he could do that for aew as well.

only real reason for any ex wwe guy to go back is the money. other than that if you were not being used before odds are you wont be used again.

1.884m views, a 29% increase over last week (1.46m). Highest amount since August. Wont last though since after Rollins he'll be doing stuff with Roman on Smackdown which means Cody seems to be getting pushed away again.
