given his longstanding IRL blood feud with Rock that has spanned since Rock was a rookie in the WWE in the early 90s.
You’re thinking of HBK. Rock and HHH are friends.
But Endevour probably still believes the lie that Roman's a top draw plus Hunter doesn't have anyone that can beat Roman at this point outside a long shot like Johnny Gargano or Gunther or someone like Randy Orton or CM Punk, the last two would waste the rub one would get beating Roman
I guess this guy has never heard of the concept of a rematch before. Cody vs Roman 2 is happening at Mania 40.

Not only are they friends, Triple H was portrayed like a mentor and saint in Young Rock, which Dwayne apparently had a lot of control over. Also, if I almost died of a heart condition, 90s beef would be the last thing on my mind, fuck all that.

Also, on the topic of the bloodline, it’s hard for me to take fans saying it’s gone on too long seriously when they always get sucked back in (Not anyone in this thread, but the fan base in general.) People wanted it to end with Drew and then got sucked into the Sami storyline, same with Edge/Daniel/Cesaro/Brock etc (And yes I’m going out of order here.) and then Cody. It’s a pretty tedious angle, but people stay engaged with it because the booking team is good at making you root for the next guy even when you know he’s going to get beaten. Hunter may have his indie tendencies, but like Vince, he doesn’t book for the internet, when the people paying to see the shows stop responding in ways they want, then something will change. With all that being said, I’m hoping it wraps up at Mania.

I’m also thinking Damian cashes in on Seth soon to get his heat back.

I've been watching WWE/F since before you were born. I have seen bad champs, but I have never had to put up with this shit for as long as Roman. Just the same shit year after year after fucking year. AEW is garbage. The indies are garbage. I'm fucking done with wrestling.

Try NJPW. New app coming this week that'll have lots of improvements. Less than $10/month for NJPW World.

That was a huge problem under Vince, HHH seems to be no different now.

Good to see Logan helping out Rey and people talking about it

Maybe it's just me being cynical, but this feels scripted just so they could get a good image on Logan. Anyway, you know the company's fucked when they are using the Paul brothers as crowd gatherers.

Wrestling is gay and only consumed by children and manchildren. But god, it makes me laugh sometimes when shit like this comes out:

I got burnt out on the Nooj ages ago. Finner looks really promising, but the booking committee is really bad. Gedo lost the plot and never recovered it. Evil2Beltz, pulling the trigger on Naito years too late, Okada in cruising mode, the Jrs. endlessly cycling the same matches, class after class after class of failed young lions, the lions that have promise being treated like geeks when they return, the power rangers belt, Borenada's reign.

Gedo had five years of good booking in him. In those five years he did some genuinely amazing things. The only impressive thing he has done in years is convince CyberAgent to let NJPW bury their only serious promotion in exchange for basically nothing of value. Okada /HEEM/ing the shit out of Noah's golden child Kiyomiya was one of the funniest things I had seen in years.

I love wrestling. When it works it is one of the most engaging and entertaining performances you can find. It's just tiring to see bad decisions and sloppy planning ruin would could have been amazing moments. Every time wrestling gets me involved I end up getting my hopes built up, and then they just get crushed.

No one is going to be excited when Roman finally does the job. He has barely defended the title and it is never clean. What point is made by LA Knight fending off waves of run ins, if Roman is just going to no sell his finished kick out at 2 1/2 repeatedly and then pin him clean in the middle of the ring? There is no build up as they gradually exchange blows only for one to falter first. There is no exhaustion slowly creeping in as Knight is worn down. It makes everything feel low stakes and trivialized. When the guy finally does come along to end Roman it won't mean anything that he is ending a historical run, because it was barely defended the entire time. It's just going to signal that the next corporate chosen one has been anointed and that this the face of the guy who is going to be part timing it and burying the rest of your roster for years. At least Cena was entertaining on the mic. At least Paul's reign of terror was only like nine months. Every new iteration of the chosen one is worse than the one before.

I genuinely wanted AEW to be different. I didn't really care that it had and indyrific stink or that it had too many goofy weirdos. It had stakes that mattered. People working their way up to their spot or being unable to defend it and falling down. It felt different, fresh, and I got my hopes up as it slowly began to beat NXT and prove that there was an alternative to what the WWE was doing. Then Tony started to hire the exact same NXT guys that had been shitting up NXT. Suddenly the stage and ring are looking like WWE. Constant backstage segments. Never ending surprise debuts. Video packages promising that they were held back by the WWE and they would be different now. Endless big announcements that never amount to anything. A bloated roster causing anyone who started building up heat to disappear for weeks. Wheeler, Garcia, Guevera just throwing whatever you can at the wall to see what sticks. More aborted storylines.

I am burnt out on wrestling not because I am a smark. I am exhausted because I am a mark.

There's always wrestling in Japan to watch. Revolver puts on some decent matches but I'm finding Deadlock Pro Wrestling to be pretty good now. They've managed to make Calvin Tankman look credible and it's nice seeing another decent athletic fat man (Bojak) in the ring that actually looks like an athletic fatman. Workhorseman are also being used well there (better than in TK's ROH and AEW) and they'll be doing stuff with the Grizzled Young Vets. My boy Krugger (Krule outside of MLW) is also there. All in all it feels like a new ROH. Decent tag division (Calamari Drunken Kings are there so what's not to like about their division?), good singles, an okay women's roster if you're into that.

Though if you're not into bloated rosters it may not be for you. Sure, you wont see them all the time but for an indie there's like 140 people in it.
