sorta like Jack Evans and Angelico, back fifteen years ago he was so good at flippy shit that Mexico wanted them, and that's a domestic market who's no slouch in flips
How does he compare to now? I'm just curious to know if this is another example of a major wrestling company signing a talent well past their golden years.

Bro this guy is just now getting surgery? He was injured in fucking February.

Bret is a weird autistic guy when it comes to wrestling.
that's part of the reason why I like him, he can have questionable takes sometimes, but in my opinion literally the best face of the company WWE had as far as in-ring ability goes (promo wise not so much, at least as a Babyface) and many of his other criticisms are understandable through the lens of a guy who peaked in the 90s and views todays wrestling, like with Seth Rollins, he's grown on me in-ring but isn't really unique in terms of a character, Bret said something along those lines a few years back (the faggy outfits Seth has during promos dont really add anything in terms of Character)
Mercedes is shoot eating watermelons on screen. Many jokes to be made.
the jokes write themselves

I need to go re-read Bret's book, but I'm pretty sure this is an attitude he's had since virtually day one, and I'm pretty sure he was super critical of Dynamite Kid and LOD for doing the same stupid super stiff bullshit.

E: And I think the reason Bret is okay with gigging is because it's an agreed upon thing and is done in a way that minimizes potential risk (usually a small self-inflicted cut and I think shit like chops you can't control and can potentially injure someone accidentally is why Bret has a hair up his ass about it because it speaks towards the worker's approach to protecting their opponent. Yes, it is a weird autistic hair to be splitting, but Bret is a weird autistic guy when it comes to wrestling.
As much as I love stiff brawlers like Gunther and Vader, I tend to side with Bret on this issue. Granted, I think a distinction should be made for wrestlers that do stiff strikes in safe areas of the body (Gunther) and wrestlers that put their opponents in danger by striking areas that could lead to lasting damage or concussions (Low Ki, Dynamite Kid, etc). Gunther's not likely to do anything that he knows someone can't handle, so Bret singling him out is something I can't quite see eye to eye on.

Buddy Murphy is undergoing ankle surgery today in hopes of reversing the bone deterioration since his injury in May.
I thought it was February cause he like got in the ring weird in that show in Australia with the tiny ring, May isn't as bad but still, these dudes just sit around waiting getting paid by tony.

He thought he just rolled his ankle in February but actually fractured it only to make it worse in May. It wasn't healing properly with some bone loss taking place so he's having a graft done today.

Basically the same thing Adam Cole went through only no way as severe.

Natty is going for a AAA title, and I think I might actually get to see her in AAA this time as her match might actually air, last time she didn't make air. Will be funny if WWE just puts all the AAA belts on main roster WWE people.
Another match that also was announced is Finn Bálor, JD McDonagh, and Raquel Rodriguez will face Mr. Iguana, Nino Hamburgesa, and Lola Vice in a mixed trios match.

Jesus Christ, that black blob at the bottom screams shitty cover up. How bad must the original piece have been for that to be considered an improvement? No wonder Vince was so anal about wrestlers not get tattoos without approval from the office first. Imagine Taker had gone to who ever did this for his first tattoo instead of Paul Booth. Also obligatory Damien Priest pirate tattoo so you can all hate it as much as I do. What happened to the days of Jeff Hardy, Edge, Undertaker and Bautista where tattoos actually looked cool and added to the overall look and persona of the wrestler?

No clue but remember that WWE show Superstar Ink? I at least miss the days where logic was applied into the tattoos people got.
