It was definitely good he started going part time around 2015, while he was a childhood hero to me along with Taker, Cena kids like myself were starting to grow up and wanted something different, what we got was Babyface Big Dog Roman which didn’t work, imo Vince was absolutely correct to push Roman as the guy but incorrect in that he should have accepted the fans were going to boo him, he obviously should have went heel a lot sooner than he did in our timeline, people didn’t want simply another Cena, and also he was Samoan and they always are natural at playing heels, Vince made that exact same mistake with Rock in 1997,I guess you could call it the Polynesian Gambit, a pro wrestler of Samoan,Tongan, or any other Pacific Islander heritage is better off starting their careers as a heel
 
Watching SummerSlam from MetLife Stadium feels kind of crazy. I know this is the norm now but things like MetLife are such wrestlemania arenas to me it’s wild they can sell well enough to basically do multiple manias a year. Place looks absolutely fucking packed.

Also, I think WWE leaked to SRS that they were going to have a special summerslam stage because instead of one giant screen now they have like four segmented giant screens.

Pretty good start to the tag, felt like tornado tag match, I still think Roman and Jey win but it’s a very close one, Reed takes the pin here

Great opener 4.5/5 for me, as I thought Reed and especially Breakker still looked good and put up a good fight, the rest of Night 1 seems more low key at least until the main event
 
I genuinely don’t understand even slightly why people suddenly got behind Kross. He’s fucking terribly boring. He’s been terrible boring for a decade. I don’t want him released though because I don’t want him going to any companies I like more. The last thing NJPW needs is another boring vanilla gaijin. The last thing AEW needs is Kross shitting up Collision more than it already is and joining Don Calis or some shit. Ideally Kross would just disappear off earth.

He’s big and can do a promo I guess he’s not the worst they have on the roster by means @CyrusHowler enjoys him and I can see why but Wrestling Twitter thinks he’s the second coming of Batista or whatever, but Twitter is retarded and should never be considered in booking choices

I was half joking when I said it, but Kross is essentially the modern Marc Mero - he has everything you would think you'd need to succeed as a Wrestler, but he's basically only there because his Wife is Hot.

It's a shame, I like the guy, but for whatever reason he just doesn't seem to click everything together. Beyond his whole Corrupter schtick where feuding with him is essentially a Heel Turn Teaser, but idk if that's been used since even his days in TNA when he was in a group with Austin Aries and Moose...
