I’m happy this Luncha acquisition happened because now SJWs and Mexi-Americans who’d only travel as far as Baja California can shut up

>Errm actually because Rey lost his mask and showed his face he’s never allowed to wear a Luchador mask again!
>El Grande Americano is offensive to Mexicans and real Lucha Libres!

Nope the real Mexicans don’t give a damn.
This, they love El Grande Americano, the retards on twitter calling the gimmick Imperialist are moronic, same shit when they tried to enforce “Latinx” on the Spanish language, they haven’t exactly been warming up to Hispanics in terms of their gay virtue signaling

Meanwhile in the world of Joshi, a tournament begins with SIXTEEN MATCHES in one night and for some reason they said you know what we also need a meaningless 6 woman tag with 6 women not in the tournament because Sixteen matches ain't enough.

Turns out that if you don't have multiple people cut 20 minute long rambling promos about nothing you can fit more matches into your live shows.

Workrate wrestling doesn't need cute catchphrases and nicknames. The US companies could learn something from this.

This was all started by those fags Ernesto Ocampo, Luchablog, and WON. They riled up the AEW and CMLL marks to start posting all over X and reddit how this gimmick was offensive. Ocampo, Luchablog, and WON don’t understand how Mexican humor operates and how they gravitate towards it.

After seeing that reaction and the reaction to Dom, AAA have two money feuds between Dom and a returning Rey, and a feud between El Grande Americano I vs El Grande Americano II.

I’d love to know when WWF stop paying wrestlers based on ticket sales because much of the old bitter feuds is a result of that. There’s videos of Jake The Snake Robert’s calling Bret and Shawn Michaels losers because New Generation had a slump in sales. What was most fascinating to me was that the Champion just got the highest pay of anyone because he was champion. Shawn & Bret’s rivalry was real because they were literally fighting for the biggest payday.
It was when WWE went public in 99. Vince saw he could not keep the old “Opportunity contract” and struck while WWE was hot. They had already semi-guaranteed a few contracts.

Jake’s comments about Bret and Shawn are kinda off-base. They did have a slump in sales, but most of that had to do with the negative publicity of the steroid trial. Their business model was still running A and B towns. It wasn’t until early 96 that they finally started climbing back, then they are hit with Hall and Nash leaving.

Cornette for sure has that mentality that there being one massive promotion in the United States is a bad thing (even though he worked for the WWF in the late 90s), and thats coming from a guy who generally thinks monopolies are a bad thing

Cornette has a romanticized view of wrestling. He thinks wrestling should be run by guys like Bill Watts.

It's more simple than that.

Cornette loves the carny aspect of the business. People like him and Bobby Heenan didn't join the business because they had giant aspirations or wanted to be apart of some massive corporation. They joined because the job wasn't work for them and it was lucrative. They liked playing a role and getting heat. They liked shooting the shit with the boys in the locker room. They liked sharpening their wit on the car rides to the next town.

The death of the territories was basically the death of fun in the business. You can't just tell a promoter to fuck off and go to another area. There's only 2 places to make real money in North America.

One Cornette story that sums up how gay the business has gotten is the time he did some appearance or something at a baseball field with The Young Bucks. The Young Bucks were sitting in the corner on their phones, Cornette goes up to them like a smartass and says "hey, we have the only feud in wrestling that people believe anymore" and The Young Bucks didn't bant back with him. And that's really it. In the past, people would be able to joke around and put aside their differences to make money.

TK actively trying to tank Thekla by randomly sticking her in a pointless faction with Julia Hart and Skye Blue is just dumb as fuck.

They already had their own shit going on, there's no need to tack your new signing on to their angle. No one gets anything out of that.
TK can't book, factions and multiman tag team matches is what he thinks is great.
I've always had a bit of a crush on her because she's built like most of the girlfriends/partners I've had over the years. Tiny tits but big ole ass and thighs.
Bayley has a great rack.

She won another one. Feel like when you have to add details about the belt because nobodies ever heard of it you’re winning shit that’s meaningless but she’s up to 8 belts now.

Look, there's a point where you gotta pull your friend to the side and tell them to stop being a self-mark.

Yes, we've all seen that pic of Ultimo Dragon with like 20 fucking titles— but that was at a time where wrestling wasn't centered on two mega-companies and a smattering of smaller ones that work along the big ones anyway.

Dragon was also contemporary with a lot of legends, a generational talent among other generational talents, before people began using that phrase to describe fags who's gimmick is "i liked Owen Hart and Eddie Guerrero".

I like Stardom but its roster is way too bloated (along with regularly including outsiders) and they've turned the 5STAR tournament into a giant farce by including so many people. I watched this show (minus the six woman tag) and about 5 or 6 of the singles matches were good while the rest were skippable.
