Willows timing went to shit a few minutes in and she never recovered. Stat had to put herself into position to take moves a good few times and the ref was talking them through the entire thing. Rough.
A lot of matches this ppv have been like that.
Surprised Miro and Andrade didn't go for a shoot double count-out so that they could both go back to WWE catering for the rest of their careers.
WWE matches may finally be watchable again without all the constant zooming.

Kylie is known for having bouts with substance abuse & eating disorders. Chris is known for being an alcoholic. What possibly could go wrong?

I do remember Brandi got blamed for running kylie out of aew which was a ground zero of aew fans turning on cody.

Well that was lackluster but after the two won on Dynamite it was pretty obvious who it was going to be. Plus you can tell Wardlow was in it, he never hid anything.
Should have been Swerve. It would have made more sense. This just shits on a good story.

Christian/Edge match was equally as bad. None of the women's matches were good and were just botch fests (sorry Jericho but even in hockey when we see a botch we call it out but in Hockey it can ruin careers like that guy in Dallas). All in all not a good PPV. Sure it finished up Kingstons last storyline and the Miro one is okay, though PJ turning on Andrade was a given. Would mean more though if his own wife was on the show, but all of the matches that felt like fillers, the backstage segments that made the show feel like a Dynamite and all the sloppy wrestling just brought the show down.

How many 'heel' factions does this make for AEW? Five?

“So what happened, how did AEW die.”
“I can show you the exact moment it died. Not with a glorious battle cry. But with the sound of a wet Whopper fart.”

Kylie Rae's top looks like a Bible Fruit from Aqua Teen so I totally believe that she's insane and that Jericho did whatever to her

EDIT: What AEW needs to do is have Old Joe just murder the fuck out of everyone who challenges him, for at least six months, preferably a year, on the mic and everywhere else. Bring some seriousness and credibility to this fucking circus Tony Khan is "running"

Start building someone up slowly to take him out then pull the trigger in 2025 sometime. The problem is there no one I would want to pick for that role lol, everyone I think of would need some tinkering with their current presentation and gimmick

Also Tony get rid of half the fucking stables aka fire half the roster. Most of em WWE doesn't want, so let Billy Corgan or Anthem or whoever pay them, and you can watch and see which of em show they're worth hiring back

Jim Cornette is probably happy somewhere - that “Bucky the Beaver looking fuck” Kevin Dunn is apparently done with WWE.

Honestly I’m only surprised he wasn’t out the door the second Vince left.
I wish Percy Pringle AKA Paul Bearer was alive to see this day man hated Kevin Dunn.

Also speaking about Cornette I know it worked out for WWF/WWE in the end but I would've fired that POS after he wanted to punish the kliq after the curtain call. 98% of the WWF audience didn't care then and honestly if that happened now 98% of them still wouldn't care. If I was Vince I would kick that tennis racket asshole out of the WWF after he even suggested any type of punishment

Main event for the AJPW show was fantastic. Nakajima basically declared himself the real Reiwa Inoki, and put on a match that gives that claim way more credibility than Okada has ever had. Replays should be up tomorrow so I recommend you check it out. If they aren't it will happen.
If you are interested in the rest of the card it is kind mid. There are two matches outside of the main event I would consider must watch.
The Ikemen Jiro match which was a master class on how you do a midcard comedy match. It was so good that by the end you wanted and expected the comedy team to beat the stiff shooter team.
The other is the AJPW vs DDT match which was really good. The only downside to this match was how Toy Kojima literally couldn't keep up with Rising Hayato's insane speed and it fucked a couple of spots up as Hayato had to basically stop to let Toy get his shit in. Other than that Hayato and Yuki Ueno looked like a million bucks as they worked at a pace you rarely see.

Typical AJPW card as of late. Half of it is kind of trash, and the other half is amazing.

Watching the AEW presser, because I hate myself, was somewhat interesting if you could nut through it.

- Joe will make a great transitional champion, and seems to have the intent on making the title a bigger deal again. It's kind of a "final sendoff" for him, considering he was meant to beat Brock years ago. I hope he gets a few decent matches before he moves on.
- Toni Storm was in character, and largely being a retard.
- Swerve looked like he calmed down a bit, but you can tell he was shoot salty about the last minute change. I've never rated Keith Lee, and it seems like this isn't the first time he "Threw the toys out of the pram". You can see they are starting to put stock in to Swerve.
- Julia Hart and DG didn't offer anything of interest.

Tony boy had to dodge the same Jericho question 4 times through the conference, with the same blanket statement. The journalist mentioned "Safe work place for women" and "won't name names" until the forth time he dropped Jericho's name. I seen some crackpot theories out there that people believe there was no internal investigation to the Jericho allegations, hence the blanket statement. To be frank, Kylie Rae has not been the most stable person in pro wrestling, but there's too many people signaling this. Tony really needs to address this, but he won't as per usual.

Other than that, was a meh event, much like the crowd, the only thing worth watching was Copeland vs Cage. Anyway, happy new year faggots.

I gotta be honest with you all, I expected MJF to just beat Joe and continue his heat sucking run by ruining another credible challenger so was pleasantly sports entertained by Joe winning. It's definitely a step in the right direction for AEW's title scene and hopefully now we have a workrate champ we can see some REAL meat and bones AEW main events like Joe - Christian, Joe - Danielson, Joe - Swerve etc.

The rest of the PPV ranged from pretty good to absolute trash: Edge vs Christian was probably the best conventional match up until the ending fuckery but I'll let that slide, Moxley vs Kingston was a pretty decent brawl and I guess the big swerve was seeing Moxley go a brawl without cutting his forehead open. And fucking LOLAEW about Keith Lee unable to get medical clearance for a match that was set up like a week ago, worse still it wasn't just a squash with Swerve beating the living piss out of Goldust for 5 minutes before screaming into a mic that he's coming for the AEW Championship.

Also big shout out to the absolute fucking mess about the Devil. So if this was always the plan then Cole was given the Devil persona to allow him to continue the MJF feud while he was injured, which is now useless because MJF is injured so now after the big reveal his posse isn't going to be fighting MJF one on one until Cole recovers, it's likely to just flounder into nothingness while taking the thunder out of a really good AEW main event with a decent finish. Also major props to Adam Cole for grifting another fucking stable which now makes it 10 out of the 11 years he's been wrestling where he's been the leader of a stable.

Midway through the event I was pondering who the Devil could be outside of the conventional choices of Jungle Boy, Cole or MJF himself and clicked that AEW already has a Devil guy who is intimidating, could easily make the step up to the main event scene and has been under our noses the entire time. I'm talking about Malakai Black of course, who could have forced an interesting storyline between the Jew and the Satanist as well as credibly take on Joe.

Also I said ages back that there's no way that WWE would even consider MJF simply because his body clearly isn't cut out for a regular wrestling touring schedule, so imagine my shock when it turns out MJF is out for an indefinite amount of time because of accumulated injuries despite working like 10 matches this year. He got an extended and improved contract as part of a bidding war with one bidder by threatening to no show an AEW PPV and then had the longest AEW Championship run in the companies history. Excellent move Tony. Truely excellent.
