Anyways, South American footy is a gift that keeps on giving. Yesterday for the Libertadores round of 16, Boca Juniors appeared to have been robbed of a certain victory against Atlético Mineiro. The match went to penalties, where they lost. They reacted like typical sore losers afterward.

The American team decided to engage in a racial struggle session prior to the game. Not surprising they lost, since they deliberately humiliated themselves on live TV. Association football is as much a mind game as it is a game of skill. If your brain is already defeated your body will follow. You just won't have the endurance.

Also have to note the US women’s team is still in the competition. This is the Groups stage so they just have to win out to advance or Sweden to lose twice.
Simply put, it’s groups right now. Strange things happen in the groups stage sometimes.
Sweden got silver in 2016 after knocking out the US women’s team from medal contention. They’re good. This is far less embarrassing than 7-1 or the US men’s team collapsing to Trinidad and Tobago in 2018. Hell, the men’s team this year was knocked out of Olympic contention by Honduras in another embarrassment. 2 - 0, and Honduras only got out of its groups in the qualifiers because of some really silly qualification rules and barely beating Canada by goal differential.
Simply put, it’s groups right now. Strange things happen in the groups stage sometimes.

"This isn't the time to score goals—when America is still racist. The boys have said they will prepare this evening by eating some pizza rolls and playing Playstation all night. In the morning they will be issued their wigs and head off to utterly dominate every game for the rest of the tournament.

Matter of fact, remember when I said the local journos bitched and moaned about how hosting Copa América was unfeasible due to Covid-19, and how the players were supposedly setting up a terrible example in competing during a pandemic? Well, they haven't said a fucking thing about the Olympics, despite things being somehow even worse than in Brazil when it comes to infections and vaccination rates.
