Nevermind all this high-profile nonsense, let's look quickly at the promotion and relegation woes for the lower half of the English divisions:

English Championship:

Fulham:
Luton Town (H)
Sheffield United (A)

Bournemouth:
Blackburn (A)
Nottingham Forest (H)
Millwall (H)

Nottingham Forest:
Swansea (H)
Nottingham Forest (A)
Hull (A)

Whilst Fulham are ensured automatic promotion via points total, they need to win against either Luton Town or Sheffield United to be crowned Champions. Bournemouth have the bigger challenge ahead with Blackburn Rovers and Millwall; both whom are chasing for play-off positions and what could be the league decider with Forest. They may need to depend on Fulham losing to play-off spot contenders to aid in the title pursuit. Somewhat hope Blackburn and Millwall win, because I don't wanna fucking see Sheffield United in the play-offs nor more yo-yo sides.

Relegation does not need it's own section, as Peterborough United, Derby and Barnsley have all but been confirmed. However I do look forward to Reading getting a 12 point deduction next season, considering the monetary issues ongoing at the club. You think Derby's (hopeful) new owners will sue them to repeat the cycle?

English League One:

Wigan:
Shrewsbury Town (A)

Rotherham United:
Gillingham (A)

Milton Keynes Dons:
Plymouth Argyle (A)

You know, Rotherham at one point had a 11 point gap between themselves and Wigan and could end this weekend not even in the Championship? Good. Genuinely cannot stand them. MK Dons who sit third right now, can leave as champions of the division if Wigan and Rotherham fail to win. Gillingham's clash is easily the most intense, as they have to also win to maintain survival in the league. Plymouth will also be edging for victory as they sit on the verge of losing a play-off spot to Wycombe Wanderers.

Relegation wise, again doesn't need much of a document. Crew and Doncaster are already down. AFC Wimbledon's historic stat of never being relegated is coming to an end, as they'd need to win and somehow hope that they overcome the 7 goal difference between them and Fleetwood. Naturally that is null and void if Gillingham win.

English League Two:

Forest Green Rovers:
Harrogate Town (H)
Mansfield Town (A)

Exeter City:
Northampton Town (A)
Port Vale (H)

Both sit at 83 points and are automatically qualified for League One football. However neither can lose now when it comes to obtaining the title. Frankly Exeter has the harder ties ahead, as both Northampton and Port Vale chase for the third and final automatic spot. Which brings me to the next subject matter. Play-off spots. From 3rd place to 8th, less than five points divide them. That's right, five. So come the first week of May, anyone between Northampton Town, Port Vale, Mansfield Town, Bristol Rovers, Sutton United and Swindon Town could receive automatic promotion or miss out on a play-off spot.

National League Table:

Still a months worth of fixtures ongoing! Stockport are on the cusp of automatic promotion, however Wrexham and Halifax are starting to breath down their neck. Hopefully Stockport clinch it, because I don't want more Welsh teams in the English tiers and I want the celebrity owners to suffer. I still find the idea of the play-off system a little backwards in the National League. Maybe Notts County will bounce back?

Accrington Stanley going strong

Forest going up is the dream. Having Villa, Leeds, and Forest in the Prem is a world I want to live in.

I especially want Millwall to go up for the seethe & cope, I'll gladly take Luton though if that doesn't happen.

Millwall vs Leeds matches 2 times next season (if they go up) will be so great. Watching the BBC just freak out about it will be great

I rather Forest myself, because Bournemouth are just another Eastern European Billionaire playtoy. That and I like variety in the promotion system.

Play-off wise, it's looking to be:

Forest / Bournemouth vs Sheffield United / Blackburn / Millwall
Huddersfield vs Luton

Imagine the final. Luton vs Millwall. Premier League reps will be livid

PSG looking to move Neymar on, apparently. Who the fuck is forking over £76m for him is what I want to know. I could see Barca coming out the woodwork with another sack of cash out their ass like they did with Ferran Torres to bring him back. It won't be Real, not Bayern, not City, not Liverpool. Maybe an Italian team? Juve, Milan, or Inter, doubt he wants to ply his trade in England unless it's at City and like I said, no chance in hell of that.

Another fun summer awaits!

I don't buy that for a second. They are already losing Mbappe and then force out Neymar as well? Plus who knows what Di Maria is going to do. I think there is some other play happening here

Di Maria is gone. Tbh if Mbappe and Neymar both go, they can start from scratch. The 2 biggest ego's and headaches out alongside a gigantic part of the wage budget relieved, despite how great they are. I think it'd be for the better, It's the perfect opportunity to cut the marquee and mercenary signing shit out since it just hasn't worked and start following a Bayern style outlay since it's fucking Ligue 1 they're battling for. I know they spend for CL but that obviously hasn't worked out either.

But who am I kidding, they're probably writing up the contract to offer Pogba 600k a week as we speak and salivating at the prospect of signing some random fucking defensive midfielder from some shit English side like Jean Michael Seri.

See I could see them slowly start transitioning out and going into a Ligue 1 style super team where they don't let the talent leave France. But that would imply PSG know how to run a club that way instead of just buying the next big superstar and go mercenary signings and I have yet to be convinced of that in any way

For that money, I'd be surprised if any European team is stupid enough to take the bait. The guy is a headcase and probably 2-3 years away from being finished as a top player. It'll be interesting to see if they lower the asking price, since money isn't really a concern for them. If they do, I could see Milan maybe taking a shot as they're about to be bought out by a rich Arab.
Di Maria is gone.
Heavily linked to Juve :story: fucking idiots we are, lol.

So Champions League has one interesting game. Unless Villareal can score early in the return leg, Liverpool should seal that up. Anfield is just such a fortress to come in and try to compete.
The City vs Madrid game is wide open. Obviously Madrid will have to push for something considering they are down a goal but they have shown an ability to go toe to toe with City for goal scoring ability. Hopefully the second leg is just as fun as the first. If City lose out on the finals but its like a 5-3 score line in the second leg then I might not give them much shit just for deciding to be entertaining instead of sitting back and trying to win

tbh I'll be a little salty if Madrid advance to the finals. City vs. Liverpool matches have been absolute bangers this year, some of the most entertaining football I've ever seen.

Don't get me wrong, I want to see that match up again for the finals. But I wouldn't feel the need to give City shit if they give us an entertaining second leg with Madrid. I don't want to watch a defensive struggle

Holy fuck Mino Raiola is dead.

Friends of Mino Raiola have contradicted reports in Italy that he has died but the prominent football agent is 'very, very ill' and fighting for his life in hospital.

Raiola is the agent for such stars as Paul Pogba, Erling Haaland and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Raiola was hospitalised in Milan back in January and underwent very delicate surgery but the nature of the illness was not revealed.

Reports said at the time the condition wasn't life-threatening and that Raiola would begin a period of rehabilitation at home.

It's flagged as false on reddit

Wouldn't be surprised if he died though, he's way obese
