Statement from the Premier League website:
The Premier League, Newcastle United Football Club and St James Holdings Limited have today settled the dispute over the takeover of the club by the consortium of PIF, PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media.

Following the completion of the Premier League's Owners' and Directors' Test, the club has been sold to the consortium with immediate effect.

The legal disputes concerned which entities would own and/or have the ability to control the club following the takeover.

All parties have agreed the settlement is necessary to end the long uncertainty for fans over the club’s ownership.

The Premier League has now received legally binding assurances that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will not control Newcastle United Football Club.

All parties are pleased to have concluded this process which gives certainty and clarity to Newcastle United Football Club and their fans.

Don't want to powerlevel too much but I'm so glad about this news for sheer drama purposes.

Give Brucey billions. I want to watch the world burn.

Newcastle's bounce back isn't going to work, due to the various problems that surround the club. It's up North for one. You've got a youth system in dire condition that is going to take at least a decade to amend, unless they go the Brentford route and form a B team. An openly hostile and fragmented relationship with fans and general media, with many banned. You can't just hacksaw them here for disagreeing with you. Despite it's reputation, the stadium is in need of major repairs and general cosmetic uplifting. Sponsorship wise, they've been undercut by Mike since he owns Sports Direct.

Sure the new owner can expand the stadium via some council bribes, re-open the Shearer pub out of good faith and buy a bunch of mercenaries to get them into Europa Conference. But it's going to take a lot of external capital investments to balance the books due to the fairplay laws. I don't see this working the way many invasion. I see another Leyton, Shef Wed and as of recent, Derby happening.

Edit: That said, how many failed English talents are gonna attempt to get onto the team. I can see the likes of Danny Rose and Wilshire taking a crack at this Newcastle

^You make valid points, but the answer to all of that is 💰, which Crown Prince Mohammed bin Moneybags has in spades. It would be one thing if they were taken over by some broke ass billionaire like Daniel Ek, but this dude has enough money to buy PSG and Man City at the same time about 30 times over. I'm sure in the coming year or so we'll see allot of recruitment of World Class backroom staff, facility investment, dodgy sponsorship deals, and quality players being bought. Will they challenge for a title in the next 24 months? Doubtful. But I can see them cracking the top 6 consistently over the course of the next 5 years with the correct recruitment.

It's City, Liverpool, Chelsea that are almost shoe-in's for top 4, they won't be competing with them, outside of that though who would Newcastle have to compete with? Pound Shop Mourinho's Spuds, Pound Saver Pep Arteta's Ar6nil, Mr. Bean Solskjær's United, and Brenda's Traveling Circus of Leicestershire's Finest Chokers. It's not that wild to imagine that Newcastle will be competing for at least Europe soon enough.

Money doesn't solve everything but by God we've seen what a yacht full of oil money can do in the Prem.

Hence my comment about external sponsorships. He has money yes, but under the new Fairplay rules you need to detail the logistics of where it came from. Shirt sponsors are easy to abuse, but Newcastle aren't getting Nike kit deal money anytime soon. It's gonna be a curious dance to witness. Long as they don't do a Derby and sell St. James Park, I'll be open to whatever shrewd bullshit is pulled.

I agree. Regardless of it all though it's going to be fun on the outside looking in to see a Football Manager save in real life. If we're heading full tilt towards The Premier OiLeague fuck it, let's go all the way.

It's going to be a riot to see the loveable losers from up North become one of the most hated clubs in England if this goes right.

If the saudis are smart, they'd be open and say the first few years are for infrastructure and not to expect major trophies immediately.
Of course these are Toon fans, they'll be demanding a CL this season

Good thing the press have 'muh racism' to talk about so they dont have to address Soufgate being a tactically inept dickhead who always comes unstuck by a team defending

The UK sports media's infatuation with rAcIsM is something. Funny how they whinge about abuse their mutt players get abroad, but never address English teams and players deeming it necessary to go to countries who have dealt with communism/marxism, and everything that comes along with it, which the knee represents, and insist on provoking them with it. Just gotta tour Europe and let everyone else know that their way of life is "wrong" and "problematic".

And then have the nerve to claim the knee doesn't represent BLM and their "values". Never mind they spent the better part of a year literally wearing a fucking BLM patch on their kits and hanging banners around their grounds and getting down on one knee in support of it. Now they take that stupid fucking patch off and take the banners down but continue to take the knee, I guess people are just supposed to pretend it no longer correlates.

All of that is a-ok, but God forbid Marcus "Mealz" Trashford gets sent a monkey emoji on twitter.

Damn, how many more losses like this until Solskjær gets sacked? Could it happen next weekend if they're embarrassed by Liverpool at home? Hard to imagine them getting any kind of result in their current form.

Probably won't get sacked until CL is impossible to reach.
>form
what form? its been the exact same shit every game since he took over. sometimes it works through a moment of individual brilliance, or a spammy dead-ball, and sometimes it doesn't.

Oh, and Sancho is a useless nigger. Bundes is a joke of a league.

Saudi aramco can be their main sponsor...

Cl is not going so well for UK teams and EL isnt much better. same goes for Italy AND spain... Germany could take both titles with bayern and bayer...

I love when players who get propped up by the media as the next big thing get brought back down to earth. Good thing for him though is he's only 21, which is 16 in United years, seeing as Lingard is still talked about like he has 5 or 6 more years to reach his peak. At least Sancho has some time to blossom. But he is a useless nigger at the moment.

I will say though, I hate when players get blinded by the glitz and glamour of playing for a big club and leave a great situation. I fully expect Bellingham to return to England and fuck his career for at least a few years as well at some point.
