We didn't have a console until the PS2, but we did have a PC and our parents would get us "educational" games. Probably the first one was a game called Peter Rabbit's Number Garden, you had to solve maths puzzles and at the end collect radishes for Peter Rabbit in exchange for him planting flowers in your garden. When you'd finished your garden you could print it out and colour it in. I remember being so impressed that the computer could take the picture from the screen and put it onto paper lmao.
