This means that at least temporarily, most first-party Dalamud plugins cannot be downloaded or updated.
And since they have a rule that you cannot have a fork of any of your first-party plugins for download on your own custom repo, several dozen plugins will stay inaccessible for a few weeks.
Just goes to show how stupid "Goatcorp" are for gatekeeping everything.
Related to this, the Dalamud system prevents a 3pp from overwriting a 1pp with the same internal name regardless of circumstances. There is zero protection for 3pp being overwritten this way.
The developers claim that all of this gatekeeping/obfuscation is because third party plugins can "hack you". There are no recorded cases of this having ever happening to anyone.
As if it would actually happen, with the exception of the Sea of Stars repo, most people who download third-party plugins have an IQ above british room temperature and are able to shut their game down if something bad happens.

Penumbra/Glamourer/Mare aren't back yet and there is no ETA. Or pictures from the testers showing why it's supposedly broken and can't be in an open beta. People are posting ironic horse porn and modbeast thirsttraps from Texttools (Which isn't having any issues and has been usable since day 1) to cope.

And before they did that people complained that the "Major Lore characters" never did anything.

WoW's problem is them trying to make every single storyline "SUPER DUPER EPICNESS" and making things nonsensical to do it.

FF14's Real problem is that the storyline relies on references to Nostalgia, "The final boss of Endbringer was Golbez!" Except it wasn't ACTUALLY Golbez, just a guy who named himself that..who has nothing to do with the actual Golbez..he just has an attack that shares a name and Summons a Shadow Dragon like Golbez did in 4.

If you've ever seen someone advertising for something and they say "vEnue" or "plOt" or anything familiar, they're trying to bypass people's spam filters.

SND has been updated for a few weeks before this was.
Puni.sh users were using Pandora Gathering or AutoHook + VIsland (Veyn's island sanctuary plugin, he updated it to allow preset routes to be used outside of the sanctuary in 6.5) before VNavmesh got updated to gatherbot, as well.

MMOMinion users are easier to spot botting if you know what to look for, and they pay a second subscription to break TOS.
Miqobot is currently rotting in a burnt down ukranian building or something, idk.
 
As long as the game is still around, there will always be some kind entertaining crazy. One of the somewhat horrific-yet-funny threads to come out of the latest expac is a particular reaction the devs did not anticipate. Wuk Lamat might have a fair share of thirsty simps, but anyone not contractually obligated to ride the hype train until next month is all but guaranteed to be either a tranny or chaser. Koana is likely there as fangirl bait (and another designated cheerleader for Wuk; that's how you know he's one of the good guys) but neither of them seemed to have had the insane amount of sheer thirst on Xitter that the devs were probably counting on. So who did?

Yes, the stereotypical cardboard cutout schoolyard bully intended to be a foil to Black Hole Sue seem even more awesome. Many of the same people who fell for the setup at first ended up liking the giant two-headed lizardman more than Hiroi's catgirl waifu. Fanatically so.

It's such a thing now that the official English account alluded to it.

The most common element in all these appears to be "bakool ja ja's babygirl" (@bakooljaja), a very...dedicated fangirl who trawls Xitter in search of Bakool Ja Ja-centric tweets and fanart, then retweets them.

I wouldn't call "bakool jaja's babygirl" a lolcow; the most lolcow thing about her seems to be the trendy pronouns and cranking her fangirling up to 11. But I find this whole thing absolutely hilarious because a foil villain whose reform was intended to make the Sue look good is upstaging said Sue and the fangirl bait. There are a lot of fangirls (and even a not-zero number of trannies who would otherwise be fapping to the Sue) who apparently want Big Lizard Boy rather than the Tumblr fanfic OC. And simps being simps is never not funny.

Given the choice between the most forward facing new characters of Trooncat, Specs, the Arbiter, ya boi BJJ, and Sphene it's easy to see why people attach to him as a chracter. He's one of the very few sources of genuinely entertaining moments in the MSQ due to just how smooth this lizard's brains are.
The characterization whiplash experianced when you find him crying over stillborn lizard babies is also so abrupt and WTF that I get the feeling he will be the part of dawntrail that lives in peoples minds the longest.
Him being the target for twitter simpery, aside from the simpery itself being a meme, I guess only goes to show just how much they fucked up with every other new character. The sentiment towards the new characters aside from BJJ this expansion is so bad that you literally have twitter deciding that the taco-stompin' lizard man is a better option.
 
I certainly wasn't expecting Bakool "If you got no scales, you're nothing but slaves" Ja Ja, pusher of the lizardmen master race ideology who would have every other race subjugated and branded with armbands displaying different coloured stars to be NA Xitter's favourite.

Maybe DT was so bad that the community is healing. 🌈

I've been playing for years and I've always distanced myself from all the retarded coomers (and actually everyone else) that play this game. When I idle around, I idle around our FC house where I am the only other active player, because Limsa is just too full of degenerates. Frankly, it's pretty embarassing to be associated with the game and everything surrounding it at this point.

This is only happening because Second Life has such a high entry bar.

He has 0 Anabaseios Savage logs (Release Date: May 30, 2023), but is somehow able to clear UWU (Late September 2023) and TEA (Early November 2023) over a dozen times in one week each, and has footage of him clearing TEA with full skill effects on. Something doesn't add up here...
