Making breasts even more taboo is ludicrous and can't lead anywhere good. You've got "free the nipple" here and "all men are rapists" there. You can't live in a world where you believe in both. They want to have their cake and eat it too.

OK, it's time for American history sperging again. The biggest history textbook purges in the US were done by the right wing because they were ass-mad that the most popular texts in the country did things like talk about factory workers and public works as being important to the country.

If you'd like to know more, there's a book all about the topic. But don't get any ideas that the left is unique in its censorious ambitions. As Diane Ravitch wrote about in The Language Police, that comes from both sides.

You are certainly correct on that, but now we are dealing with the left's turn of attempted mass censorship that seems to literally want to undermine Western values, traditions and even sanity. It is a damn good thing that the Social Conservative right aren't liked much by the left and the moderate right, if only we could get those more moderate on the left to reign in the Dangerhairs.

History timeeee:

Progressivism has been a thing since the early 1900's. Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson were progressives. The core idea of Progressivism is that a person that is specialized and 'educated' has a better idea what is right for you than you do. There IS however a split. A lot of the early progressives (1900's-1940's) were social darwinists and more cozy with fascism as they saw it as the way of the future. Planned Parenthood began as a Progressive organization hoping to eliminate, or at least keep poor (they thought poor was genetic) and black people as a minority through birth control measures, a lot of the early Progressives were pro-eugenics and saw Blacks, Jews, and even Irish as lesser people.

The whole shtick of early Progressives was that we should put really smart people into positions that they have specific higher education in and give them autocratic power. Also kill all the poor and minorities that are holding humanity back and there will be no need for that difficult thing called Capitalism because everyone will be rich.

After WW2 the early Progressive idea became unpopular for obvious reasons and it kind of went underground in the 1950's. In the 1960's it revived under elitist Socialist and Communist community organizers and college professors, became popular with college age baby boomers and turned into what we know it as today. It's still the same 'we know better than you' thing and race superiority shit. Now though, Progressivism orbits around Socialism of the authoritarian brand and is black/gay/trans superiority instead of white power.

This is also why groups like antifa are extremely similar to fascists in thought and brown shirts in tactics. It's because it's woven from the same cloth, just different eras.
