but she could have spent some money on a good therapist instead.
It's because psychology is a bullshit soft science. We have no idea what's wrong with people and even if we did we don't know how to fix them. So pills it is.You got a couple of problems with that. I can't speak for Cucknadia, but in the US you got two choices:
1. Therapist that goes STRAIGHT to bIpOlAr and doles out pills (if they're practitioner), or recommends psychiatrist that automatically calls bIpOlAr and doles out pills like Tic Tacs
OR
2. Therapist that just nods, speaking in that soft condescending voice before validating or just mirroring every damn thing you say.
I'm still waiting to hear about (insert mEnTaL hEalTh professional here) doing the needful and holding a patient accountable and giving them actual NON DRUG coping skills and social skills.
I hate giving L. Ron Hubbard ANY talk points, but...
Is Scientology pushing Troonism onto therapists to discredit the profession in the eyes of normal people? You got a couple of problems with that. I can't speak for Cucknadia, but in the US you got two choices:

Somewhere in the quoted autobiography earlier in the thread she wrote about how she at one point loosely considered switching gears and running an organic farm or something.A good therapist would have told Ellen to stop acting, using the money she already made and invest it, and try to live a normal life away from the attention she's got, so she can focus on herself on her own without the need for external attention and validation. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and I doubt many Hollywood therapists tell that to their clients because then they'd lose their income.
This was a much better way of saying what I was trying to say.A good therapist would have told Ellen to stop acting, using the money she already made and invest it, and try to live a normal life away from the attention she's got, so she can focus on herself on her own without the need for external attention and validation.
