A bit schizo but well, everybody had their choices.
Listen if making people i hate, who also hate each other fuck and have a kid is Schizo then i dont want to be normal.

Besides "bastard child of the king with the power of a dragon god" is also a funny concept to come back later to cause chaos because fuck Ferelden its a shithole and deserves to suffer.

This Morrigan model still baffles me to the point where I could make an entire YouTube essay on how ugly and confusing it is.

Why is she wearing two bras one of which is over her midriff?

The spiked shoulder pads

The drag queen makeup

The comically oversized necklace

Kilt+ pants combo.

Because as of Inquisition, and cranked up to 11 in Veilguard, one of the real villains was the dreaded Male Gaze, which had to be destroyed at all costs.

isabela got hit with the ugly stick too, i do like because of the writer that is a isabelafag, same way i hope seeing liara getting buttfucked with the ugly stick too because of the liarafag writer, her romance arc is shit because of him.
that's it really, you can even joke she went back to DAO model titty size instead of DA2.

The "yes swooping is bad" moment between Allistair and Morrigan in Origins is more memorable than any companion conversation or cutescene in Inquisition or Veilguard.

God they butchered these characters so badly.

The DA2 sarcastic Hawke does after a main quest and alone is one of my favorite moments of the franchise.
Just imagine eating enchachment soup.

I genuinely think the literal unnamed jobbers that accompany The Hero Of Feralden and Allaister to collect Darkspawn blood for the joining ritual have more personality than any of Veilguard's companions.

The thief and the soldier. Yeah, pretty much.
Alistair's sarcasm makes my day thought.

Right around the time Inquisition was released there was a weird ass trend of adding live service elements like real time resource gathering to strictly single player games.
The theory goes that Inquisition originally was supposed to have a larger multi-player component before TOR tanked. That's also why it has a multi-player mode in the first place.

Wouldn't surprise me. They outright admitted Veilguard began life as a Fantasy themed live service Fortnite clone.

Early trailers even had the multicolored lootspolosians typical of the genre.

same shit during ME3 but more server dependent because of the "filthy pirates".
thank fuck it backfired on their faces, it was during the online only retardation phase of EA because ME3, SimCity2013 and DAI literally have one year difference between their release dates and they all went for the online route.

It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure that, while requiring an Origin account, ME3 and DAI were playable offline. Only SimCity 2013 had the always online DRM.

So BioWare had three previous instances of them fucking up a multiplayer project (TOR, Anthem, Inquisition), but they decided to attempt a fourth one?
In some small amount of defence for Bioware - with how long Failguard was in development hell, it’s entirely possible its development started during EA’s “No More Single Player Games” phase where everything had to be Multiplayer.

They likely tried to pivot the second EA started walking back that decision, but by then anyone with actual talent was probably long hone.

There was a fairly significant dustup when it was announced that Veilguard would be a traditional RPG with no required online component, as for about a year EA had said that it would be online -- I can't remember if it was going to be an MMORPG or if it was some hybrid style game.

At the time, this was welcomed as a sign that Veilguard was going to be, if not a great game, at least striving for the spirit of the original.
