It's a failure:

Their Monday peak was 15.3% below their Friday peak (Friday peak was 77465, Monday peak was 65639). That is a really bad sign.
It is looking kind of bad. If it really does kills BioWare what do you guys think will happen to the IPs BioWare owns? I would like to think there will still be dragon age and mass effect games but can’t think of any companies out there that would actually want to make them.

Realistically, Mass effect is already in production, and everyone who finished doing the technical things are probably going to be moved to that project. The vast majority of the grunts, programmers, etc. are safe. I firmly believe Mass effect 5 is going to get made.

You can probably expect salary reductions, restructuring, and layoffs within Bioware. They've already been doing this with senior writers who were too expensive to keep on. Veilguard had a revolving door of leadership, and management, the people in charge now aren't likely to stay as creative heads.

In the far future, EA executives will find a senior creative from another franchise, and give them creative direction over DA games, and It will be rebooted. I wouldn't expect this for a couple years at least tho.

In the unlikely event that they kill Bioware, they'll just move the IP to another studio within EA.

God damn, they even managed to fuck the suicide mission. You can't just do the majority of character quests and be done with it, you need to nearly 100% the game, including a bullshit binary choice in the middle of the game and locks you out of the best ending. Even fucking JRPGs have long learned that missable true endings are absolute bullshit that just hurt the experience.

And let's us not forget, as good as the original suicide mission was, it absolutely ruined the entire plot of 3 as every character that could have died in it was unusable for 3, leading to the entire game being pointless.
I'm not upset about Samara since she's exactly as bland as you'd expect a warrior nun to be but pretty much the rest of them all deserved to rejoin Shepard.

Except Grunt. I'm still mad we got him and not Wrex, although considering what BioWare did to his skills in the Citadel DLC perhaps its for the best.

Would you be referring to the Stimulant Pack power that's still glitched in the remaster?

Better that than no mention at all.

You know Morrigan-she's like really mysterious and a total sloot, and she pops up a lot. Occult advisor to Empress Celene? Veteran of the fifth blight? Nah, she's just like a spooky wizard and has lots of sex(which isn't even true to how she's portrayed in Origins).
Are you sure about that?

That and his general lack of biotic "fuck you" he had in ME1 in addition to being an unstoppable fucking Krogan god of war. It would be like if they took away Overload from Garrus and replaced it with some useless gimmicky garbage.

How Varric is handled is fucking bizarre.

He actually dies in the prologue. The Varric that talks to you is a ruse conjured by Solas to guide you in the direction he wants. Nobody reacts to this. Best friend Hawke is not in the game at all, Inquisitor barely. They used him as a hook because he was so popular that he was the only party member appearing in two games, and they completely waste him. Either there were problems in the long developement or they are the most incompetent writers thatt ever worked on a big franchise.
IIRC he was supposed to die at the end of 2/some DLC before DAI and this looks like someone just opened up the plot bible and dumped everything out in the dumbest possible way

I've been watching a lot of cutscene videos to catch up on all the lore reveals I was waiting for, and somewhere they casually drop off the rather astonishing idea that powerful spirits as the original elves used to be can exist as independent fragments of each other, and it was this quality that resulted in the indefinable linked relationship of Falon'Din and Dirthamen, presumably after Falon'Din's defeat as described by Solas in the Temple of Mythal. It's an incredible notion -- the elven gods of death and secrets were once a single entity! -- and raises all kinds of possibilities for what might be done with the elven gods and the Forgotten Ones ... but it's just delivered in the most humdrum, oh-by-the-way fashion imaginable.

Because Corinne Bush, Turning-Tricks Weekes, and their merry gang of sexually fixated narcissists didn't give a shit about any of this, their real priority being trans indulgence and lecturing the straights.

BioWare deserves to be buried under the Chernobyl sarcophagus.

Probably just be forever locked in the EA vault with a bunch of other Ips they own but never make games for any more, like Ultima, Nox , Road Rash and Command and Conquer for example.

The tranny pushing would be less egregious if there was even an attempt at worldbuilding it into the story, we had Vivec as a hermaphrodite and no-one bats an eye because it was built into the lore. This feels more like modular game development, just drag and drop stuff into your 70$ dead franchise release.
Also, making DA, soft escapist fantasy is lame, weren't humans shoving Elves in Ghettos, but now you have a she-hulk smashing tables about getting misgendered at dinner?

Just seems like a mixture of perverse fetishism and spite, neither of which are conducive to long term interest, the fanbase will eventually just move onto the new slop once this has worn out its welcome or some dev gets found out to be a rapist or pedophile.

OR, if you weren't forced to embrace it. New vegas had homosexuals very early, and I wouldn't of even minded a trans character, since in that game you can shoot anyone in the face. THIS is the biggest factor

Honestly, his choices were: LARP as non-binary, or give up the cushy 6 figure writing job. When your boss is a tranny tyrant, and all your fellow writers get laid off, how tf are you supposed to protect yourself? Blue hair, and pronouns doesn't seem like a high cost to pay...

I look at it as one of those "devil's bargain" tragedies, It's more sad than anything... Everyone's self=respect has a price.

Some of the lore reveals strike me as genuinely being hinted at since Origins and some are just too stupid retcons.

All of them are revealed in the most bland and perfunctory manner. Or one off mentions.

Apparently Andraste was another Mythal vessel?

The black city is just the prison from where the blight is imprisoned. The Qunari do have dragon blood.

Basically every big mystery in the setting has been solved. They wiped out southern thedas and Solas is in magic jail for good and the other Evanuris died somehow when their Archdemon died.

At this point, I expect even the hardest of hard core fans will lose interest. Inquisition had so much allusion and hints and one off mentions and mosaics. Now? There’s no mystery, no deep lore to reveal.

Because as said the writers want their trans affirmation stories and find that nerd stuff as just a checklist to file off.

Who were the other archdemons attached to? And is anything said about Urthemiel and his attendant god?

Patrick Weekes is one of the OG trainrot at Bioware, he jumped on the bandwagon when liberals swapped from real liberalism to intersectional faggotry. He was one of the ones to open the gates to trainist philosophy, and trains can't write worth shit.

Not mentioned at all, the whole old gods are evanuris’ horcrux thing makes literally zero sense when you consider Origins at all. The game basically forgot about it. Or treated the world state with no dark ritual/old god baby as the norm.
