This was one of the best bits of writing in DA, you have the activist mage liberation force all jazzed that they are going to free some oppressed mage from the Qun and then it turns out, shock horror, that the mage is A-OK with the situation since the Qunari have a completely different cultural view on mages. Abhor the witch, destroy the witch. Suffer not the unclean to live!

Incredible that this criticism of the (mainly AWFL these days) activist class got in a BioWare game at all. AWFLs make up BioWare's core demographic post ME2 so even more salient lmao. You can tell the writer was more than familiar with how actual people think and it's not some simple oppressor/oppressed bullshit that infected academia since the 60s.

Still 10k below Divinity Original Sin 2, still well below BG3 (and by this point after release BG3 was well into the triple digits), it's not even really close to Starfield.

Well, their stated reason is that people have a history of complaining that certain DLC, even larger ones, should have been part of the game (which is true in certain circumstances, such as Day-1 DLC that is on the damn disc) so they didn't want people to feel like the game they buy is incomplete. This was supposed to be part of their new "customer consideration" policy, such as no always online for a single player game, and no extra DRM.

I don't buy it either. To me it just seems like another attempt to try and get people to buy it because they knew it would be such a goddamn hard sell to the normie public.

It's not great compared to its competition, and it has the high budget movie/AAA game problem of big numbers=/= profit.

That being said, it is amusing that Taash is consistently part of the dumbest scenes. Is she supposed to be "neurodiverse" or just straight up retarded?

Also, the way she attacks Emmrich for his beliefs and interests after demanding so much special attention to her own weirdness feels like an accidental confession.

Bit unfair to compare it to balldo's gate though, that was a runaway smash supermegahit and call of duty is call of duty.

Yeah its on par with divinity original sin, but that game was also incredible and massive. (The first two acts at least)

Comparing it to other "woke flop sequels" like wolvenstein 2 and it easily tops that.

This game has been in development for 10 years at least. This is a flop.
