Brace yourself people: Zevran is going to be the King of Antiva in this game.

What are the odds that he's gonna channel RuPaul and tell Fivehead Rook to "don't fuck it up" and "sashay away"?

Eh, it's not completely unimaginable. The King of Antiva is (at least as of Origins, I can't remember if this was ever retconned) a complete figurehead so powerless that a lot of Antivans don't even know who it is. On the other hand, I await with fear and trembling what else this gang of creative typists posing as writers might do with him.

no wonder why they didn't want to bother with setting custom world states, the troons and other gender-special developers wanted to make their favorite characters important and super cool because Dragon Age is now just shitty fan fiction

"Hey, guess who's KING OF ANTIVA now?!?!"

"Not that low-rate assassin/whore who feebly tried to kill my Warden and wound up in a ditch by the side of the road with his throat cut, surely?"

EDI getting tits was dumb
EDI's tits were the one good decision that the chuckle fucks at Cerberus ever made.
To bring it slightly back on topic. I no longer think this is gonna bomb. The astroturfing has begun HARD for this game and you can see responses in every comment section and new showcase are totally positive. Bioware slop enjoyers are a different breed man.
I don't think it's gonna bomb, but I don't think it's gonna get much past the bare minimum.

Barring a disaster on the level of Concord (or even Anthem), we probably won't know for about 6 months, when we hear DLC announced or a sad admission there will be no DLC.

Latest marketing hype is that the hair is done in an awesome way. In an age of cock sliders in modern games, that's nothingburger. Think of the modern audience that wants their non-binary Qunari fivehead body type 2 to have an 18-inch peen.

Anyway, late to the game, perhaps, but saw this in a video. Why are the chests so immersion-breaking huge, like they are lootboxes in a game that you need to purchase a key with real money to unlock? The more I see of this game, the more I suspect it's made of reused or for-purchase assets. The whole game looks way too much like a generic mobile ARPG.

Edited to add: LOL, Lucanis the assassin can sprout purple-magenta wings.

Wait, Is it the same kind of box they have in Borderlands were you pay real money for a few golden keys to get grantee epic loot?

Reading this thread makes me wonder how the hell BioWare even managed to release gamss such as Mass Effect and Baldurs Gate, was it just dumb luck?
Otherwise, Mass Effect and how it went always makes me sad, and what it could've been. You guys think there is a chance Mass Effect could ever come back?

99% of the people who worked on Mass Effect and Baldur's gate 2 aren't with the company anymore. Even the people who made Mass Effect 3 left not long after
Dragon Age Inquisition had to be made by Bioware Austin which was the team that made SWTOR, and Mass Effect Andomeda got made by some new team made in Montreal.
The main studio made Anthem, which apparently was so bad an experience that the veterans in the studio left during development or right after release

Dragon Age Veilguard is being made entirely by people hired post 2014

Close to zero chances, but unlike the masses of now, I am willing to plunk down the cash and play before casting my opinion. ME4 will have to do its own thing, because the scotch-taped story is just unfixable.

I can't tell you how happy I would be to find out I'm completely wrong about DA4 and that it turns out to be the greatest RPG of all time. I'll be over the moon if it's just acceptable and only mildly woke. But the tea leaves so far are awfully rotten.

I saw this all over Twitter with faggot women mostly talking about how BIG of a deal this is and how only real fans would understand.

I hate modern Bioware and it's audience of fujoshis and homosexual soy beards.

Man, let me tell you something. When they released that teaser trailer, the one to show that they were actually going to drag this game out of development hell, I was cautiously optimistic, because the environments they showed looked decent. The leaked gameplay footage was a tad alarming, but I'd have taken a dumbed-down version of Inquisition if the writing and characters were alright.

Of course, then they officially unveiled the horror, killing what little hope I had. Now I look forward to the inevitable trash fire, and I'm very excited to see if this will be what finally does BioWare in. The Edmonton branch, that is. They probably won't shutter Montreal unless ME5 flops.

I'm pretty forgiving of BioWare games (I'm on record as enjoying both ME3 and DAI despite their flaws), but yeah, I am not feeling good about this one. All the emphasis on your companions is a huge red flag. Companions are an essential part of all three prior installments and both of the latter Mass Effect games. It implies not so much that they've put more work into the companions than usual (though I admit I really like the QOL feature of making it harder for the game to skip over banter) as it does they're slacking off in the areas that made Dragon Age an epic fantasy game: the world, the quests, the story, the enemies. They've yet to top Loghain for villains, and now I wonder if they've just stopped trying because they're making a glorified friendship / dating sim.
