Which is the pajeet? Josephine is Spanish/Italian coded, and Cassandra is vaguely German/Eastern Europeanish?despite being an Afrikan and an adulteress, i actually like Vivienne. in my 3 playthroughs, she is Always the Divine in the end.
she's not a dyke, unlike goblina sera and that pajeet advisor.
and she keeps every reasonable mage under the Chantry in Check.
lastly, she is at minimum cordial with the inquisitor.
Dorian looks the most Indian but has a stereotypical fruity British accent.
Sera actually talks like a chav British working class “I’m not racist go Ngubu” meme.
I honestly can’t think beyond skin tone of a character in the dragon age series that’s actually coded as African. City elves-gypsies. Dalish-native Americans, human factions-usually a European caricature. Orlais-France, Ferelden-England, Nevarra-maybe Germany/Spain? Antiva-Italy, Rivain-a mixture of Spain and Italy, Tevinter-Greece/Byzantium. The free marches-Starkhaven is Scotland, Kirkwall doesn’t really have a defined accent or culture.
The Qunari are obviously non White but they don’t fit an Islamic stereotype at all.
There are lots of brown skinned people in the games, but no nation or region (beyond the Qunari and the elves) that you are supposed to equate with “India” or Africa.
I guess Rivain can be vaguely associated with the Caribbean? Maybe given Isabela is basically the female jack sparrow/brown slut. And they have looser attitudes on mages and an animist religion the chantry has little influence over also an island that’s a big pirate port.
