I'm not even sure I'm going to play this game, I really liked Origins but the rest of the games sucked IMO and now DA 4 is going to be run by trannies. The salt and the fallout will be comedic gold though.

I seriously wonder how EA hasn't taken Bioware out back and dumped them in the grave with all the other developers. After all the problems with Andromeda, it should've been a sign that the body is no longer alive, and the twitches are just the maggots moving around.

Money.
in EA's mindset you can be woke as fuck as long as people don't refund the preorders, special editions or comics, if they do it's to the chopping block with you.

I have a pet theory that EA’s been running out of studios that they can Ol’ Yeller, and are keeping the Bioware name around to at least somewhat distract from “you’re giving money to EA”. I mean, they have what, DICE, the people who “update” the Sports Games every year, Respawn who are basically coasting on Apex, and Trannyware.

Like, there’s got to be more, but fuck if I can name any other EA Studio’s.

You know it’s bad when your game isn’t even good enough to pirate.

I'm trying to rack my own brains over here, but I'll be damned if you haven't hit the nail on the head. They killed what was left of Westwood ages ago after C&C4, didn't they?

I think it's partially that and to make something triple A nowadays requires a massive amount of time and investment. They might think using the studio name counts as advertising while back in the peak EA days, they could just kill a studio and a new one would immediately take its place. I also doubt they have their finger on the pulse enough to snatch up double A studios, as most of the corporate side seems to be the usual MBA crowd, and not people who came up in the industry.

As for DA4, I don't believe it will be good. Fantasy now a days seems to attract every gender confused, sex pest weirdo, who writes erotica for repressed wine moms and fujos. I doubt you'll ever see anything like Origins ever again

Dragon Age 4 is becoming the video game equivalent of Napoleon's invasion of Russia.

This games never coming out, is it. And people say crunch is a bad thing - sometimes you need a tard wrangler to enforce deadlines.

Frankly I’m morbidly curious just how shit it’ll actually wind up being, considering it’s reaching Duke Nukem Forever levels of development hell. Not enough to spend money on this shitheap, and I was someone who didn’t mind DA:I, so that should say everything about my tolerance for bad games.

Maybe I'm just jaded, but Origins isn't as good as I remember it. The gameplay's still alright, chunky as it always was, but the dialogue and lore aren't really as good as I thought. There's a lot of Tumblrisms going on for lack of a better word, especially in NPC speech, and the way Origins portrays religion is just about proto-SJW, even if it got more aggressive later. There's stuff I still like about the setting and some of the characters, but I always thought Origins was a great one-hit wonder totally disconnected from the shit that came later. Revisiting it, you could see the cracks of what was coming even then. Not as aggressively bad as the zee/zem/zey shit we see now, but that same sentiment was definitely there I think.

Mac Walters was shit but he was streets ahead of the dross they've been hiring since 2012. Yet another cataclysmic dip in the average quality of BioWare's staff

The sentiment was there indeed, but the "liberation" of mages or elves or w/e other noble minority they want to write about are simply common plot devices, and they're not new nor particular to gaming. Religion deserves its fair share of criticism. Personally I don't mind these things too much, they were present in Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter games too, and in most RPGs the hero journey will take you through adventures where you have to save some oppressed nerds. Or you could be psychotic and murder everyone, get the bad ending, lmao.
There is a huge difference between these "do good/save these people" stories and the "look it's a faggot, and you can put a beard on your female character, wow that monstrous looking Qunari wants to fuck you in the ass aren't we amazingly subversive, have you considered transitioning, peasant?" obnoxious, unsubtle "let's trigger the chuds" overt culture war we're getting these days.

It's just that Bioware's writing isn't stellar. Origins was marketed as this gritty, hardcore, dark fantasy world but at times it feels like Joss Whedon was writing the script. As a kid I didn't mind/notice, if I had to revisit it now I'd probably spend most of my time rolling my eyes at the dialogues.

Something just hit me. Why the fuck the sudden focus on "the dread wolf?" Other than DAI, was there any hint of him? I think I remember a breif mention in the dalish starting area in origins, but fuck all from 2 and 80% of I

Bioware has been pulling this horseshit of DLC setting up the next entry since DA2. Corypheus wasn't mentioned until the final DA2 DLC. In ME3, Shephard is confined to barracks on Earth because reasons unless you played Arrival, where he blew up a relay and genocided a bunch of batarians. Then this game with Trespasser. And I haven't play Andromeda, but from what I've heard the ending doesn't really set up anything, and that the story felt really hollow because it was obvious that DLC was planned but not released because the game shit the bed.
