i am shocked, i tell youYup I was curious what would happen during my last playthrough. If you don't get his relationship score high enough he betrays you, big surprise right? He ok in combat from the little I've used him but he's nothing special, so yeah unless you just really like his design or something there's really no point.
Indomitable is absolutely necessary for melee fighting dragons, I find. Two handers just don't give a fuck, whether it's a dragon shoving them or a behemoth of stone or flesh slamming into them.I usually do. But there's not really any good reason unless you want to use him in the party, or want to kill him later.
I've found that the archdemon can either be a massive pain or completely trivial. It's a dragon so it's quite awkward to melee and the massive hordes of enemies can be a big problem later on if you don't use the army call-ins like a chud. It's funny to watch Arl Eamon get brutalized and go down to 1hp in a matter of seconds.
Arcane Warrior and Virulent Bomb is one of the reasons I think the second game...isn't as bad as people say compared to the first. And it ends.

this fight was disappointing, honestly
the fucking lategame archers with scattershot spam were more of a challenge than this.
The ending was everything I hoped it'd be, and I felt pretty fulfilled. All that's left is the DLC sequels of sorts. Need to see what awakening's all about and find out what Morrigan is doing with our dragon god kid as well as why she wanted one in the first place. I know it was Flemeth planning to bodyjack it for super dragon powers (unless this was retconned like literally everything in Origins was)
First, I'm going to run a mage I'm actually satisfied with. My first time was just me fucking about. The second attempt had me delving into utility spells and other sorts. And the third had me try to see what all the fuss about entropic death was about just to find out it was a crock of shit sleep + horror was infinitely more useful and manageable than. The virulent bomb seems like a much better spell for AoE and damage without as much setup or talent/spell taxes. Arcane Warrior is absurd, but it makes fights that would be otherwise a quick breeze last way longer in turn for guaranteed success. Still going to go with it for the full plate casting memes.
Nope. Champion/Templar/Spirit Warrior was fun as fuck in my playthrought.Mages in DA O were head and shoulders above the melee classes and the Melee classes were kind of really boring to actually play.

Well, that's kind of my point. I think the delay wasn't in the thousands of years, but in the hundreds -- long enough that if the Reapers had arrived on time, humanity probably would have been industrial but not yet have achieved space flight, much less begun exploring the mass relay network.
That does raise the question of what would have happened if humanity had wound up the leading race of the following cycle, but it's possible that arriving on the galactic stage without being the race to find the Citadel and therefore be shaped by its technology and its attractiveness as the central hub of civilization is exactly what made it such a wild card the Reapers couldn't predict or control.
Zevran? At the first encounter? He's obviously the party member who is supposed to kill you but really doesn't have much of a grievance, unless you ignore him at camp and get on his bad side in which case he tries to kill you again in the last few chapters. While I'm here, did anyone actually spare the knife-ear assassin companion? Because taking up with a guy hired to kill you is legitimately one of the stupidest writing tropes in fantasy or any form of fiction to ever exist, and I'm wondering if there's any good reason to.

I only save him when i also want to recruit Loghain because it is funny. Loghain is a very late potential companion so he does not have many dialogues. Love it lol. While I'm here, did anyone actually spare the knife-ear assassin companion? To harrass mages like the chud you are.
Holy Smite, of course.
Being Warrior makes more close to support Templars in general, like i done in DA2/DA: I.
Why bully and harass when Mana Clash is the universal magus deletus button?Holy Smite, aesthetics, bullying mages, take your pick.
As long as the dude did it for money rather than personal reasons it's not too ridiculous, though I'd wait a bit before allowing him into the camp. While I'm here, did anyone actually spare the knife-ear assassin companion?
