One of my favorite Star Trek related things to do has been spending the last 18 years trying to convince my friend who watched that episode with me back in the day that Janeway killed Tuvix by ejecting him out into space. He knows how the episode really ended, he's not stupid or anything. The internet could easily confirm the truth if he chose to look and I'm sure he has. But I can see the spark of doubt building more and more in his eyes each time I vehemently insist that I remember the episode ending with the crew standing at the windows and watching his body float by after Janeway sent him through the airlock, and after his body passed out of view Tom Paris cracked some kind of a joke about "three nerds with one stone", and everyone laughs before the credits fade to black.
One of these days I will covertly orchestrate his discovery of the Mandela Effect and the seeds of doubt will enter a stage of long-awaited florescence...then it will only be a matter of time until I've convinced him that both of us witnessed an entirely ridiculous and different ending to that episode.

Could've been confused with the scene of Rosaline spacing that cylon in NuBSG.
I remember a different jarring ending: Tuvix rematerializing back into Neelix and Tuvok, then hard-cut to credits.
I must have seen that episode first in syndication. That ending was unsettling.
