He didn't say that he would lawfully defend himself. He just said he'd walk free (there's a difference) after killing a nigger, writing with a tone that had undoubtedly been calculated to elicit maximum outrage from the people he was addressing - I think we're observing a pattern here!

So, we've established that he uses "fighting words" - terms of verbal abuse so widely known to provoke assault that they are typically regarded as a mitigating circumstance in battery cases, and could make the speaker partially responsible for fights the other party started. And we know he does this in an effort to provoke others because it's quite literally his platform's business model. This behavior, combined with the tweet, makes it sound as though Chud was deliberately baiting someone into assuming a position that, in his mind, would enable him to kill them without consequence. It's all very simple.
