Not necessarily current year but I'm posting it here because it is a term.
"African culture"
I realize a lot of people who say this really are ignorant on the subject (as in unknowing, not retarded) but still. There is no singular, homogenous "African culture." Africa is a continent on which there exists many recognized nations; these nations often contain different ethnic, tribal, religious, and subcultural groups within themselves. Yes, these cultures often share similarities with one another (comparable to different denominations within Protestant Christianity), but they are still different.
Egypt is on the continent of Africa. Is the culture and mythology associated with Egypt the same as what you find in Mozambique? Is Somalia the same as Nigeria? How about Chad and Morocco? And we all know how different South Africa is from basically every other nation. These examples of course do not relate to the different religions, tribes, groups, etc. that are found on the continent, just general overviews of countries.
