If I hear "slay" one more time, I'm going to slay someone.

I still kinda remember the moment nearly a decade ago where that went from occasionally uttered even shorter hand slang for "killing it" to corpo-approved bixnoodism version of "I clapped when i saw the thing!".If I hear "slay" one more time, I'm going to slay someone.
I sense you too are old enough to remember when 4chan was launched. It's not that the nature of humor has changed to something more random, but that absurd and nonsensical humor is a normal form of counterculture to young people. The adults are having serious conversations, therefore taking things seriously is gay. This is why we have an entire subforum here where the prevailing culture is making polls like "would you rather marry Null or fifteen million cocks", generating thousands of retarded and meaningless posts. It's a form of rebellion that appears in every generation. There is no inherent meaning. That is why it’s brainrot. Today’s humor is “randomly generated”.
Bold of you to assume that is not a serious debate!would you rather marry Null or fifteen million cocks", generating thousands of retarded and meaningless posts. It's a form of rebellion that appears in every generation.
That's what society did to us.dating market
Dating shouldn't have to be a damn "market" in the first place.
I don't buy that. I'm going with some used r@pe on a tweet or whatever to stand out and look different and so every other loser with 10 followers copied it.I agree, but I think it's mostly (not always) users trying not to have their content flagged and removed by some shitty bot. Of course, the reason that bot exists is because someone got butthurt over having to read adult words, thus adding to further pussification of society.
Eh, it's not new - the term 'meat market' dates back to the 1950s and means something similar. There used to be jokes about stores that called themselves meat markets were actually brothels.dating market

Meat market or flesh market and the like mostly refer to situations in which looks are dominant. Like, early tinder was called a meat market since it was just a picture+name. But meat market is a derogatory term to underline the shallowness.Eh, it's not new - the term 'meat market' dates back to the 1950s and means something similar. ETA: Oh, I was thinking with emphasis on a specific word, like a MEAT market or a DATING market. Autism strikes again.
It's part business trying to turn everything into a monetizable market they can build around, its part retards that want to turn everything into a science (or "science" like economics is) so they can try to understand and game it. "Well you do have the 8 inch dick and 6 figure income, but you have too high fat % and your car is cheap so this is your market value. From this we can derive you can skip single moms and women below cup size D, but you have to accept medium chubbiness and between 1 and 2 mental disorders"dating market

"Dead internet theory" as a term being introduced into the normie vernacular, and consequently losing its real meaning. At least this dude's replies are full of ppl rightfully informing him that he has no clue what it means lol
og video
You made me look this up, you nigger. Could have just said "bitches want to fuck objects and try turning this into identity"Objectum/techum
The theory is not "there are zero people online, just you and endless bots", but more that a lot of the internet is bots and generated garbage. When twitter purged bots a lot of people realized that 90% of their followers were bots. I also came across a few AI powered websites. Every hour a new article would be put up. The title was clickbait (listicle, "all you need to know", etc), the text was obviously made by the same prompt over and over (always introduction, bullet points, 4 paragraphs, conclusion summing up the same way) all made by one author. The only difference was the subject, it was obvious it would trendsurf. Like some famous person getting 3 articles in 3 hours before going back to the regular random slop. Finally someone said it. Thank you. I am so sick of hearing this now because it's absolutely ludicrous to anyone who's ever talked or even MET someone online. tHErarE aRE No reEAl pElLPLE aNyaMROE
Sorry for the derail but thank you for being someone who understands what the real dead internet theory is. Back in 2005/2006 I saw an article from a company who were paid to close down fake accounts on Myspace, Facebook and FriendsReunited, and they were closing 1 million fake accounts a day. Think of how the internet has grown since and how AI has been generating slop fake articles for decades. (The first fake google article, completely generated by computers, including a fake generated name and picture of the 'journalist' happened around 200The theory is not "there are zero people online, just you and endless bots", but more that a lot of the internet is bots and generated garbage. I took a screenshot since it was so bizarre.
Well, all I have to say is...Today i heard a new one: "smaller human" when referring to children
Some folks, like the youtube commenter I screenshotted, don't even understand that it's about non-real people to begin with! For context, the og video was about Mrbeast being the malicious disingenuous weirdo that he is. So I guess ppl think that dead internet theory is about horrifically sketchy internet figures like Mrbeast, with maybe some other ambiguous themes like slop, ai, grifting, etc thrown in as wellFinally someone said it.
