Not a term, but what is it with American men not shaving anymore?

Seems like only yesterday, a clean shave was professional.
Beards are in style right now.

But as someone with a beard and glasses, I dare say you mustn't combine both beard and glasses (I don't wear the latter in public). If you do, you are giving nonverbal consent to having bricks thrown at you.

I hate seeing Twitter names with obnoxious, usually social justice/leftist political nicknames in them. Examples that I often see include:

  • John "Wash your hands, wear a mask" Doe
  • Jane "Black lives matter" Doe
  • Some "Trans rights are human rights" Troon

We get it, you're a good pod person.
It might be fun to start using nicknames that at first seem to fit the pattern, but when they read them, they really don't.

Pretty much all of them. using euphemistic language and mangling the meaning of words to suit peoples hurt feelings have always been a thing, but it's ramping up at a much faster pace these days.

But the trend is so far dug in now that it seems like the Farms is one of the few places where it's not a thing.
Eh... It depends, but there are some bits of Twitter and Insta that don't do pronouns in bio.

There was a guy on Twitter who used to call himself a fiat earther for that reason.

If you're gonna call me a faggot, call me a faggot. Don't call me a "penis infatuated person".
I mentioned this in an A&H thread, but the neologism "birthing person" used by troons and troon enthusiasts to describe normal women is just vile. They've gone full circle and are treating women like broodmares for the cause; trying to appease the insane whims of transsexuals - men - at the expense of real women.

It's like that old Carlin bit about this subject.

You start with "shell shock"; punchy, direct, sounds like the guns that caused the condition.
Then we get "battle fatigue"; two more syllables and that much less humanity.
Then there's "operational exhaustion"; four more syllables and all meaning is now lost in jargon.
Finally we get to "post-traumatic stress disorder"; same jargon pablum, same syllable count but now with a hyphen!

That's where Carlin's brilliance ends but life found a way to march forward into retardation. Today PTSD isn't just a soldier's affliction as shell shock was and any nancy-boy can get "PTSD" from mean words on the internet. It's lost all meaning. That's what I hate most about soft speech. It turns perfectly fine phrases into word salad that has all the meaning of a wet fart.

Just say what you're going to say. Don't pussyfoot around.

What if you wear glasses and have a beard, but it's a neat, groomed beard and not some soy'd bush or neck beard on your face? Can we at least downgrade the thrown bricks to pebbles or something?

On topic: the way language seems to be more infantilized lately. If you don't talk/treat everything like you're talking to a 5 year old anymore, you're just a bully.

Calling women ”birthing people” is one of the few times where drawing a comparison to the Handmaid's Tale is appropriate.

I wonder how long it'll take for ”under Xer eye” to become a greeting in LGBTQRSTUVWXYZÅÄÖŠŽ spaces.

How so? If anything, we're being flooded with blather that must be true because they sound like Smart People Words. "It's not my job to educate you!"

Glasses and beard only works when the beard is well kept and on a man that doesn't look like a 12 year old in disguise. Bulk up if you want to wear a beard.

It's like how "person of color" is just " colored person" turned around. Amazing, the lack of self-awareness involved.

Here in the UK an ex footballer and chairman of the main footballing body was hounded out of his job for talking about ”coloured footballers”. The newspaper responsible for doing that had ran an article in the past month which talked about ”footballers of colour”.

Thirtysomething white women who call themselves "witches" because they read Harry Potter, burn incense, and wear stupid hats and Pentagram necklaces. It's almost always used for navel-gazing egotism and "fuck you dad" politics.

Do you remember when they tried to put a curse on Donald Trump using the power of the moon or some BS?

It reminded me of Chris Chan's ”EID, PMURT, EID” videos.

I don’t know if anyone’s brought this up yet but I hate how really online people insult other people. You can’t say fag or retard anymore so you have to say “trash goblin” or some shit like that. “Dumpster baby dick weasel” I’m sure you’ve seen something like that.

Another thing is when people describe themselves on social media “gender trash” or “sometimes I write a thing”.

Also the phrases “content creator” or “influencer”, do we really have to internalize corporate jargon? Just call yourself a video maker or soft core pornographer.

"Blackness" and "Whiteness"

They're so fucking stupid and they're used describe good or bad actions or attributes to races, good ones for blacks and bad ones for whites.

Not necessarily current year but I'm posting it here because it is a term.

"African culture"

I realize a lot of people who say this really are ignorant on the subject (as in unknowing, not retarded) but still. There is no singular, homogenous "African culture." Africa is a continent on which there exists many recognized nations; these nations often contain different ethnic, tribal, religious, and subcultural groups within themselves. Yes, these cultures often share similarities with one another (comparable to different denominations within Protestant Christianity), but they are still different.

Egypt is on the continent of Africa. Is the culture and mythology associated with Egypt the same as what you find in Mozambique? Is Somalia the same as Nigeria? How about Chad and Morocco? And we all know how different South Africa is from basically every other nation. These examples of course do not relate to the different religions, tribes, groups, etc. that are found on the continent, just general overviews of countries.

And both concepts are racist, because they treat people based on racial grounds (being African or being part of the African diaspora) instead of acknowledging the cultural diversity within Africa. It's literally a woke version of ”they all look the same”.
