Real question: Does anyone here use axe/lynx?
It smells fucking horrible and everyone using it as a teenager pissed me off to no end.
Well, guess I'll swallow my pride and admit it - there are a couple of Axe scents that I have in the cabinet. Most Axe is way too strong, so you only need a little bit under the arms, but like others said, it was a thing to just lather yourself with it if you were a teenager in the 2000s. Hats off to their marketing team, because damn, everyone knows of Axe, more or less because of that.

The funny thing is, the best ones are always sold out while the rest are always readily available because like only 10% of their lineup is palatable to anyone beyond their teenage years

Not gonna lie, I do find these kinda cool.
Some of them are just way too corporate looking, but I could see me having some of this.
I'm not one of those people who'll obsess over the specs and stuff, I'll get what's good enough.
The LED stuff is kinda a love/hate thing.
I can get the vibe, but I wouldn't have it on all the time.
lol this consoomer faggot keeps DMing me steaming for a fight because this thread struck a cord.

I think the Mechanical Keyboard and Battlestations communities might have enough material for their own threads? What do you guys think? I might work on a keyboard thread later. There is sure to be some drama with failed kickstarters and the like, not just pure consoomption.

I felt like bringing the Disney topic back, so please enjoy the following:
and to counteract it, if you have time to spend, please enjoy this documentary
"The problem with the Disney Starcruiser is marketing."
"Disney doesn't have quiet times anymore."

The worst part about mechanical keyboard consoomers is they are terrible at typing. In one of their subplebbits there was a strawpoll with typing speeds and the most voted for option was 80 - 100 WPM. Which surprises me since most of them are zoomers that are terminally online and you think their typing skills would be reflective of that. I have a 170 wpm typing speed and I've been using a 2014 Razer blackwidow keyboard that I bought from walmart open box for $45 6 1/2 years ago.

In my highschool locker room we used Axe as a deodorant but those cans were mostly just a convenient way to get a makeshift flamethrower into the locker room for hijinks while maintaining plausible deniability.

Reddit being Reddit about keyboards again.

Wtf? Lubricating keycaps? That’s a thing? I was looking into various key switch designs and stumbled across this. Holy shit. A keyboard has over a hundred keys. Why tf would you put all that effort into doing something that I’m 99% sure makes the keyboard worse. Keyboard tech does matter, especially when we use them all the time for work, but this is just fucking ridiculous.

Lubrication of switches changes the sound profile and feel, this is not really placebo and more something that does effect the switch but if you don't care how your keyboard sounds it wont matter regardless.

I felt like bringing the Disney topic back, so please enjoy the following:

I feel bad for any non-consoomer parent that just wants to give their kid some good memories and they decide to go to Disneyland. Because it sounds like a completely stressful and wallet-draining place. And don't get me wrong, that's what amusement parks do (Rollercoaster Tycoon helped me see that when I could charge for bathrooms), but it feels like it's gotten a lot worse over the years. Standing for over an hour in a line to ride a roller coaster for 6 minutes is insane.

Is it like this at any other park? I'm hazy on American parks but I have a gut feeling that the Six Flags parks give you more ride time for your money than Disneyland.

Depends on the park, the ride, and the day. The nearest Six Flags to me can get some Dinsey tier wait times for the big rides on a busy day, but it has fewer super busy days like that overall. The largest amusement park in my state will never have wait times even close to a Disney park except for special event days when they lower admission costs since all the dregs arrive and shit the whole place up. Disney parks are something special though when it comes to pure pandemonium and crowd size. Of course they're incredibly popular parks in the middle of, or very near, massive population centers on top of the national level appeal and the fact that they are themselves tourist destinations, and unlike most other amusement parks (at least around me) they don't have a winter off season.

Dude... I hate to break it to you, but bragging about your typing speed is completely retarded unless you're a court stenographer or have another very specific use for typing as quickly as possible. Otherwise, nobody gives a fuck how quickly you type, they care about the content. If you actually wrote things instead of spending your time going to testmywpm.com for frequent dick-measuring sessions, you would know this.

A portion of gen z grew up typing with a touch screen.

I knew a kid at school that used to snort Axe/Lynx deodorant. He liked the chocolate flavour

It depends on the Six Flags park (you get to meet Bugs Bunny and shit at all of them). Some of the smaller ones do/did, but something like Six Flags Magic Mountain in California is actually worse than Disney in terms of waiting times. You'll wait 90 minutes minimum for any rollercoaster and the "fast pass" lane (which you pay extra for, but doesn't work on the fastest rollercoaster in the park which you pay extra for) is like half an hour. And you might not want to wait in line at some of the Six Flags Parks because of the clientele though. I was always told the one in Atlanta was the worst.

I've also been told that, but you're entirely correct about the demographics at a Six Flags park.
