Time to get my autistic rating - Ideally, I would love to see Null be able to get Chris to "do art" again. I think it would be good for him to A: Get another source of income, B: get him interested in SOMETHING, anything slightly productive, and C: maybe distract him from twitter, and his psycho, tranny orbiters.
I'd love to see him be able to go to the con, though during an ongoing pandemic isn't exactly wise. My hope is him getting outside, and maybe having a positive experience with real, living humans, will ground him a little and restore just a little of his sanity. If he sees there's actual people and life in "this" universe, not just his destructive delusions and insincere hugbox of followers, maybe he'll be able to be who he really is, and not what people have brainwashed him into thinking he is.
But all that is fucking optimistic at best, I know. I have a soft spot for Chris probably due to brain damage.
As a side note, some people have mentioned putting Chris on a train, in possibly a sleeper car. This is a good idea in theory, bad in practice. I'm going to power level a little:
about 7 years ago I took a train from AK to CA. It was Amtrack. I couldn't stand the thought of spending 3 days next to strange people, so I opted for a sleeper fare. It was $700, back then, one way. Those rooms with bathrooms, wide benches, and extra space are at the high end of the price range. The most common are two seats, facing each other with a table between, and not much else. The seats/table fold down, and there is an upper bunk that folds down. The best thing about them is you get a big window to yourself, however...
The scenery is shit on cross-country. Routes that are cross-country will go through some of the ugliest, least desirable areas possible. We went through the worst sections of large cities, but by far the most awful was going through the hellholes that pass as Native reservations. Basically dirt, sand, cars on blocks, and an urge to blow your brains out. This was more of a southern route; a norther route might be nicer.
The "room" was small. I'm 5'0" and small, average weight for my height, and I found the "room" cramped. Chris is taller, a blimp, and I don't know if he's good with enclosed spaces, but I'm betting he will also find it a bit tight. He won't like it at all if he's claustrophobic
The doors only lock from the inside, so if he's paranoid someone might get into his room while he's on a bathroom break/dining car trip, he might try to haul all his carry-on crap to and from the bathroom/dining car.
Trains WILL NOT wait. It isn't like the airlines. Even if the train itself is late, if you miss boarding, they will leave without you. I personally witnessed a couple with baby in stroller, running back to the station after boarding ended, screaming and waving hands, people ON the train yelling at the porters to wait for the couple. The train did NOT wait.
When you are on a cross-country fare, on a sleeper car, you will have to exit so they can switch the car/clean it. You can't stay on the car, and will have to wait. Usually in a no-frills utility station. And by no-frills, I mean a room with not enough seats, a payphone, and a bathroom. On my route, we stopped to clean/switch at the mid-point. The train that we were supposed to connect to, after the cleaning, broke down, and the 2 hour layover turned into 12. The station we were trapped in was at the ass end of El Paso, in an industrial/deserted(looked like) part, so there was no leaving the little room to get food. They didn't mention the car switching on the website, so it was an unpleasant surprise, even without the delay.
