But what if Chris gets a suspended sentence, and gets released? Where will he get his dildo-money from, NOW?!?

No, it’ll end with Chris waking up at a train station and all the trolls and major figures in Christory would be on the other platform. Barb shows up and she’s the same age and Chris and they’ll both run out of the station and a drone camera footage would play out after.

It's a surprise it all lasted so long.
I'd have to thank Chris though, I've discovered him when i was 16 and very anxious about life and the future.
I used Chris as a role model for someone I didn't want to become and now I'm pretty content with life.

Thanks for being a failure for me, Chris.

Eh, I'd not say soft. More like he's more optimistic when it comes to people than you'd expect from his (and the site's) reputation. Gives people a chance/second chance when most others wouldn't. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.
You're totally right on the second bit though - without that optimism, this place wouldn't exist.

He's been subsisting on random acts of kindness his entire life, and now he's going to a world where donations and all goodwill have dried up. Not sure if he can still get tugboats while incarcerated, though. I think the state maybe holds on to it until release?

Simple closure I think.

Consider how huge an impact Chris has had in Nulls life. As Null clinks together his silver and listens to his pigeons coo, he can't avoid the fact that Chris is responsible. And Chris is obviously going to go down in fucking flames.

Trying to avoid an oncoming disaster. only to directly cause it to occur. Chris may have fucked his mother, but the real Oedipus of this story is Josh and everyone else who tried to save him.
