I just wanted to comment how useless this guy Think Before You Sleep must be as a fitness instructor, he doesn't look like he works out at all, nor is he one of those super skinny powerlifters that are strong due to doing doubles and triples all day, and if you read his Youtube community post he said that he injured his back doing barbell rows with sets in the 8 to 10 rep range lmao, first of all injuring your back during barbell rows is hard since you are using your lower back only isometrically and it's not even the primary mover, it's a synergistic muscle (that admittedly gets hit hard), he then injured himself in the 8 to 10 rep range which is very hard to do, the higher the amount of reps the harder it is to get injured, hence why no one gets injured doing sets of 40, people get injured when they lift heavy, that's why doing singles can injure you but sets of 40 won't, for example if your motorcycle has a weight limit of 150kg and you weight 80 kilos then you can use it all day, but having the motorcycle carry a load of 150kg will impose a lot of wear and tear and something might break; so him doing sets of 10 reps in the barbell row and herniating his disc is ridiculous.
If I have to guess I'll assume that he was not bracing, and that he was flopping like a fish out of water doing a pseudo-deadlift + barbell row combo with an arched back in order to lift more weight than he would be able too if he used adequate technique, and this guy is a fitness instructor? 80% of personal trainers are useless, and I think that's selling it short.
