A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

The upper echelons of the country are very out of touch and mostly live in fear of 80's football hooliganism. Their nightmares are a British working class man in a football shirt. So that's largely what they target. Referrals to Prevent were several times more common for young White males than any Islamic or non-White background. Despite the government's own agencies reporting that most of the threats they faced were Islamic in origin.
A lot of Prevent's referrals come from traitrous white people panicking over an Andrew Tate video. The pakis won't self report because it's us vs them and we're not them.
Also, it's not "jews". It's very specifically a coastal elite / Israeli set who want to drag everyone into Israel's issues.
Try working with them some time. They act like pajeets trying to steal everything not nailed down. Selling dodgy stuff from the car boot. They're as bad as Indians.
I absolutely hate when American-esc Jew discourse is brought about to our Politics. Jews do not operate here as they do in America. I'm not sat here worrying about ZOG trying to destroy my way of life or whatever. Restore and Lowe are our best bet by a long shot. Seeing posts on Xitter saying Rupert is an evil Jew because he said he supports Israel is infuriating. I think he cares far more about stopping the orcs at our gate than anything to do with supporting Israel at our own cost.
The Jewish power in the UK is crazy when you look into it. It's not an outright Israel worship like in the US but don't underestimate how much they own or how they influence politics. Remember who owns the banks and look at what the banks own and do to our country..

Also remember when I was talking about supermarket branded food being pretty tasty, and significantly better than leading brand slop?

You all need to go pick up an ASDA branded chocolate bar. Genuinely the nicest chocolate I've tasted in years. It's got that really moreish aftertaste you used to get with Easter Eggs or Advent Calendar chocolate.

My main argument against this line of thought is that they are first and foremost Etonians above all else. People like Crispin Odey, Rees-Mogg and Jacob Rothschild all kinda have the same level of power and influence. I think Etonians hold a stronger sense of helping each other out and fucking over the rest which overrides the whole "Jewishness" aspect. They are more Schoffel gilet than star of david necklace. I don't deny they inherently hold a level of stake just down to the fact they still interlink with European/American Jewish banking conglomerates such as Edmond de Rothschild and Goldman Sachs however.

I doubt any of us have a hope in hell of understanding the back stabbing in the UK halls of power. I just think it's very naive to assume the people controlling the entire money system globally lack impact in the UK. You can still get unpersoned from a bank pretty easy and that makes life very difficult. Every tried to buy a big mac with no bank account? I don't think my local even takes cash any more.

I'm not saying they don't have an impact, that would be silly. Internally our problems are baked into our own group though, unique to global Jewish influence. Just look at what happened with Brexit. Brexit was pretty much orchestrated by a group of cabinet ministers who happened to have second jobs at Odey Wealth, being paid off by their boss so he could bet against the pound and make hundreds of millions. That was probably more of a disaster for our nation than anything "da jooz" have done which they haven't already done to every other nation. I don't really care for Jew discourse as every western nation besides America has the same level of issues created by them. They don't create our largest, identifiable issues.

You do love to talk as if you're the only person who has any life experience. Yes, unsurprisingly I have had Jewish colleagues. Who were fine. The only ethnic group I have universally had bad experiences with were Indian men. And I'll still treat any individual with an open mind. I know that's inviting some more 'I have more experience than anyone else' posting from you, but I go by mine (which is considerable).

God, remember when this thread was about news?
This is news.

USA and Israel are at war with Iran. Our country is umming and ahhing about getting involved. We're discussing the Jewish influence on America and the UK. And how that's important to consider when their ethno state is currently trying to kill every country they can reach.

Mystery vault and grave slab with sinister skull carved on it uncovered in Canterbury
A MYSTERY vault and grave slabs have been found hiding in Canterbury just off the historic city’s main high street.

One of the grave slabs has a sinister looking skull carving with a laurel wreath around it.
Workers found the secret brick‑lined chamber under paving stones during a major renovation project at St Mary Bredman Square, right by a closed down department store in Canterbury.

Experts were from the Canterbury Archaeological Trust were called in to investigate the strange find.

They believe the chamber part may belong to an 18th Century vicar and poet.

They suspect it’s the resting place of Reverend John Duncombe, who was the Vicar at St Mary Bredman church that once stood at the site.

The vault was located in what would have been the front of the altar, suggesting that the person it belonged to was someone significant.

But archaeologists say this is only a hunch for now based off records of memorials from the church.

“Whilst it’s difficult to say for certain, the position of the vault in the important eastern end of the church and the style and date of its construction lining up with the Reverend’s death in January 1786 are encouraging,” the Canterbury Archaeological Trust said.

However, the grave slab with the carved skull and laurel wreath on it are not thought to be linked to Reverend Duncombe.

These sorts of grave slabs are known as a “memento mori” which is Latin for “remember that you [must] die”.

The vault is one of at least 14 currently being looked into around three of the city’s church sites.

St Mary Bredman Square serves as a war memorial today and is undergoing £200k renovation works.

Changes will include a mural showing a church window on a building wall nearby in a nod to the past.

“Plans for the square include the repositioning of grave markers so that these memorials are easier to view and appreciate,” the Canterbury Archaeological Trust added.

“The utmost care will be taken to ensure that the memorials are treated with the respect they deserve.”

Pakis are similar to any other voter in that they can/will vote for someone despite having zero actual clue what it is they're voting for.
'Waqas Khan is not the only local'. I simply cannot believe that this would happen to a local guy like that.
No this will not happen ppl say this everytime there's some Islamic terrorist attack and guess what nothing happens.
The entire country spent months rioting and there were several times that migrant hotels were almost firebombed. The police are totally overwhelmed and already could not stop the riots last year and the year before. 'nothing happens' nigger do you have any fucking idea how fucked the country has to be for white people to riot? Not just to go out and protest but to actively try to burn down migrant hotels. That is very very far from nothing.
Also, give it a rest with the "Anyone Who Disagrees With Me Is Brown" crap. It degrades the thread.
No I simply MUST prove that I am one of you fellow whiteies by calling everyone brown and I am totally not projecting or anything. If I say that you are brown then that makes me white and that's good. You also have a small penis and cry yourself at night don't you. Unlike me. I am big and strong and very very white and I need to tell you that because you would not be able to tell otherwise (because I am just good at hiding shit and not any other reason). Idk how about anyone who is obviously retarded is obviously retarded and white people can be retarded just brown people are more likely to be. Yea I get it we're all horrible racists but if I think you're retarded it's not because I have depicted you as a fucking brown soyjak in my head, that's just because I have read the shit you write and come to the conclusion that you're retarded. Just because most of our problems irl are because of browns doesn't mean that invoking the b word suddenly changes online shit where it doesn't matter. I don't think they're retarded because they're brown, I think they're retarded because they're being retarded, maybe that's because they're brown but the only thing I know is they're fucking retarded.
the fucking jeet MP for Loughborough doesn't understand a politician must plant trees whose shade he will never sit in
Hmmm a lack of foresight and planning? The inability to conceptualise the world as a larger object than yourself that will outlive you? If I didn't know better I would say that was caused by an iq bordering on mental retardation from a dysgenic inbred population but I guess that's just a cultural difference? I guess that's why jeets are trying to push so hard to get into politics. They can't think further than a few years in the future at the absolute best. A politician is the perfect job for someone like that, practically an entry requirement.
It's having an inverse effect as being punished for that line of thinking only reinforces the justified victimhood.
What the fuck? You're telling me a child, like a teenager or something, would rebel? That teenagers fucking hate being told what to do? That they will rebel against authority as hard as possible? What the fuck? Since when? No this must be wrong they didn't do that before it must be social media doing that. I'm an expert on teenagers because I sent mine to a childminder so I can go fuck some Eastern European ones and they were always very obedient.

I'm really busy at work.

Here's a slapdash array to tide you over.

Manchester's Iranians cheering on the bombing. Bonus points for the picture, I hope the seething unwashed masses normally whining about Palestine or trans rights had a fit seeing them.
1772650111612.png
After Iran was hit by US-Israeli strikes, about 1,000 British Iranians held a rally in Manchester, supporting the military action against their homeland.
"It's not easy to talk about or even think about but the fact is that we've been under so much repression and pressure that we just want to break free," says Farid Vahidi, an Iranian human rights activist living in Manchester.

More than 200 people - including the country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei - have been killed in Iran, which has launched retaliatory attacks on neighbouring countries hosting American military bases.

Vahidi, who works with refugees in the UK, says "we don't want our country to be attacked", but at the same time he believes many have been "calling for a long time" for foreign intervention.

The current regime, which came to power after overthrowing the country's unpopular monarchy in 1979, has a poor reputation for human rights.

Since December, it is estimated to have killed between 6,000 and 30,000 protesters - exact figures are hard to verify as independent media are not allowed to operate freely in the country.

One woman, who wishes to remain anonymous as she fears repercussion for her parents in Iran, says she was able to make brief contact with them after the attacks started on Saturday, but has been unable to get through since the government implemented an internet outage.

"The last time they shut down the internet [in January], I couldn't talk to my parents for two weeks and I don't know what's going to happen this time," she says.

Her friend, who also wants to be anonymous, says she has "bittersweet feelings".

She adds: "In an ideal world, no citizen would like their country to be bombed, but [Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps] got us to the point that we actually supported Trump to attack our country.

"A lot of people tell us do you want to become like another Syria, another Iraq?

"But I feel like Iran has a different foundation.

"As a people, we are really standing by one other and we really support each other."

The current regime has gained notoriety for its hard line interpretation of Islamic sharia law, and the woman says she was arrested at the age of 16 by morality police for not wearing a hijab headscarf properly.

The 26-year-old adds: "A lot of Iranians now are distancing themselves from Islam and they don't want to be identified as Muslim, because they've been traumatised by that."

Having moved to the UK at the age of 18 to study, she says: "We're the privileged ones that could get out of Iran."

Soaring inflation has made life harder for many, she adds, which means the latest anti-government protests have "so many different layers".

"It is because of the economy, oppression, a lack of human rights, a lack of women's rights."

Dainel, who was also at the Manchester rally, reckons many compatriots at home and abroad support the attacks for the time being, adding those at the rally "want to be the voice of Iranians".

"We don't want this regime because it is doing everything very badly," he says.

Among the flags waved at the rally, there were some representing the US and Israel.

When asked if he had trust in US and Israeli leaders, he said: "We trust them more than the mullahs (religious clerics) in power in Iran because what they say, they do.

"And we see what the mullahs say, they never do."

Vahidi is more cautious, saying: "I don't want to fantasise and think they have our interest in mind - obviously any politician thinks about their own and their country's interests first and foremost.

"But at this moment in time, personally as an Iranian and any other person who I have spoken to, there is no other way in front of us."

And while I am doing pictures screaming a thousand words

The parents of a three-month-old girl that died have been jailed after they were found guilty of causing her serious physical harm.

Emergency services were called to a flat in Stafford in February 2021 to reports of a baby in cardiac arrest. She died on her way to hospital.

Jack Davies, 26, and Terrie Marie Wood, 23, both of Stafford were found guilty of causing or allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm in October.

A post-mortem test had shown evidence of a head injury, which likely occurred several days before her death, and multiple rib fractures, Staffordshire Police said. Davies was jailed for two years and Wood was jailed for one year and eight months on Tuesday.
"This was an incredibly distressing case for all agencies involved," said Det Sgt Claire Mace, of Staffordshire Police's child protection team.

Violence against children would never be tolerated, she added.

"My thoughts remain with everyone affected by this incident.

"We will continue to work with our partners to protect children from harm, safeguard them and prevent tragic cases like this one."

That puffter is trying to rip off my profile picture.
ZERO STONES!!

How do you only get two years for killing a baby? Broken ribs and a cracked skull is not an accident. is 2 years out max prison sentence now? Do you have to schedule in your 2 years among twitter posters?

Where is the quote thread? I can't find it any where.
