A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

This is what people forget about the rise of Nazi Germany, their suppression relied far more on people turning their neighbors in than the Gestapo. There was only like a hundred Gestapo agents in a city the size of Hamburg or something equally tiny.

I just referenced the rise of Nazi Germany, I feel like a fucking Leftie now.
their "neighbours" were subversive jews and race traitors, what's your point?

Unless you say your name, you could realistically plot an actual terror attack on here and the police would never know unless someone reported you.
I've always wondered what would happen if you used someone else's name and details on a known dodgy site (not this one).
Would it be a way to get people locked up who piss you off?

EDIT: for the love of Christ never say anything about planning a terror attack as that is when the FBI gets involved and Null has no choice about giving your information over to them.
Free speech stops.....right there >

Funny that a free speech website, hosted in a country that the yanks say has no censorship, the first amendment and the right to say whatever they want, that the anti-government, supposed-anarchist site owner has to immediately jizz information in the face of the supposed free speech, censorship-free government that zhir hates so much.

"oh noes, but da gubermint will be big meany to him". Not that free then eh?
(looking forward to the negrates from NPCs)

that sounded cool in your head but you can taste stuff before you spit it out or swallow it.

its easy, don't speak to people you know are arseholes who'll grass you up

the French were always our enemies, look up the Rhineland terror, that's what they want for us.
And that's what they are actively doing to us now. They are refusing to deal with their borders and send people back who get there illegally; they are waving them through; they are allowing them to come here; and they know full bloody well the people who come here will rape and harm us.

I'm a gigantic racist but I have a measure of sympathy for the Rhineland bastards. We don't choose the circumstances of our births, and being born from rape and being mixed race is an awful thing.

The only thing I say not to put in the slow cooker is ground beef or chicken etc. It turns to mush, also pork is not great as it makes too much fat.
I made bolognaise, mince and dumplings and lasagna in a slower cooker when my cooker was bust. Worked out surprisingly well. You just can’t get the crisp to stuff.

To power level for a moment about Glowies: The strength of the police state is two fold. 1) To convince you that you are always under watch, and cannot speak freely because you will be caught. 2) To actually fuck you raw when they do catch you. Our gay retard police state simply has too few people to actually watch these sorts of sites properly, they rely on tips and tip offs from others to then observe individuals potentially dangerous or not. Unless you say your name, you could realistically plot an actual terror attack on here and the police would never know unless someone reported you.

Don't ... actually do that, but also don't be that paranoid about the police.
If you look at the people arrested most of them are either snitched on by people they know IRL (as you said) or idiots that post with their name and face on massive sites like facebook. Our police are corrupt and incompetent. If they were half-way decent threads like this would be ghost town. The establishment doesn't care a few thousand no-name righties are running around, they only attack if any of them gain a semblance of power. Or somtimes just random ones if they make an easy picking to scare the others.

This is what people forget about the rise of Nazi Germany, their suppression relied far more on people turning their neighbors in than the Gestapo. There was only like a hundred Gestapo agents in a city the size of Hamburg or something equally tiny.
The point of the police state is to make people scared to speak up. It matters little if half the populace hate something. If people can't organise or meet-up without glowies disrupting events or arresting thought leaders then it's almost impossible to gain power. Once a group controls a power structure it's pretty hard for them to lose it unless some kind of crisis occurs or an outside more powerful group forces change.

Lmao.

I know I'm late on this, so apologies.
I'm going to say (albeit contentiously) that I called it.

There's also an issue of scale most people don't consider. The reason they're all starting to make use of AI where/when they can is because we're not the Soviet Union or Nazi Germany or some other then-destitute shithole in the 1930s, where the only people worth keeping an eye on were the few people of wealth and significance to threaten the a state in a country where 95% of the population were incapable of rallying together off of their own inertia or weren't even educated/intelligent enough to organise some sort of resistance.

Nowadays everyone has access to knowledge previously obtainable by only a few, anybody and anyone is capable of being lone wolf or propagandist, and people can just happen upon "radicalising" content (i.e. anything that prompts an undesirable attitude shift in the observer, be it radical Islamism or basic bitch Conservatism) in their passive internet activity.

The state's gone from worrying about a relative few to millions upon millions due to their own redefining of extremism (words = action now) thus broadening the scope of who is a threat. There's no feasible way to monitor them all individually, and even broadly speaking many people probably aren't even on a "list" or something, as disappointing as that might be to some people here.

Authoritarian regimes in the past could narrow down the list of threatening people to a few thousand, maybe even hundreds of thousands to the low millions, because they were shitholes where only a scant few outside the government/military could threaten them. They still had a ceiling though, which necessitated chucking a bunch of people deserving or otherwise into gulags to lessen the burden. Nowadays government's have to let fear and paranoia do the heavy lifting to ease the weight, but it's not enough. Essentially, the government's position is no longer

TLDR: There's too many people for Big Brother to be truly effective, and too many people have stopped giving a shit about what they can or cannot say for that component of the state to be truly legitimised. Stop paying for the TV license.

Warrick Davis is actually funny in Life's Too Short. Plays as "himself" as an up-his-own-ass actor with a delusional view of his own self-worth and acting capabilities. He's bullied for being an unlikable shit and he ends up being the most pathetic person in any given scene, and it's always justified in context. He even chases down someone who cyberbullies him, so it's true to life. It's free on Youtube because HBO and BBC collabed on it but neither can actually profit off of it due to conflicts regarding streaming. It's worth a watch.
