A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

He what now?

Okay, well I don't follow Tommy Robinson closely, so I'll bow out of any discussion on him for now.
Lauren and Tommy were trying to fund a documentary on the migrant boats. They would go to rich arabs and up and coming influencer types to shop around the idea and get some money. Lauren and Tommy went to hang out with Tate before he was famous and she was flirting with him all night. Tried to say no after egging him on so Tate supposedly forced her and choked her out when she fought back. Tommy later got a blowjob from Southern despite being married. So from what we can gather through the evidence we have, Southern was basically a pimped out whore to fund projects. She would sleep with people to get them to promote her work and get funding for it. Which included Tate.

So in the public eye he's anti islam. In the private sheer he's high fiving Arabs as they double team a blonde whore.

She fucked a bunch of dudes so being rape isn't really relevant when she was still kissing him in public the morning after.

More Mandy fallout; the Times is reporting that he refused to resign which is why he had to be sacked (he did once say that he was a fighter and not a quitter...). There is also a belief (backed up by other journalists including Calgie and Hodges) that he will begin attacking the government from within the Lords once Parliament returns from recess, potentially with the intent of knocking it over completely.
I'm sure Blair profits from this somehow

Don't forget that Mandy and Alastair Campbell were Blair's main 'handlers' whilst he was in office.

Blair will profit by leaking info on Starmer and McSweeney over the next few weeks.

Starmer believes that he is the Labour Party as he is PM - not so, you don't mess with the grandees.

As for the Kirk thread, the Twitter Bird idiot (apparently he's a needle dick Pajeet who is always causing issues) said that if he ever meets me he's going to kill me. Stay mad, Gupta, stay mad you bloody Saar.

Good news for Reform UK down in the Vale of Glamorgan of all places (usually very left-liberal and also pro-independence) as they get their first councilor - Brandon Dodds won with a majority vote of 72.

With signs hopefully pointing to Reform UK getting their first Senedd member in Caerphilly in a few weeks, things are still looking rosy for them though Plaid are also hoovering up disaffected Lib Dems and Labour voters, therefore it could be a close call.

Reeves has apparently been told to drop plans which would tax 'the bank of Mum and Dad' and consider a wealth tax, with the warning that she may be replaced if she now fails to follow the advice of the Blairites who are challenging Starmer for control of the party. If Reeves refuses to listen, and if signs are that the budget will not be passed, there will be a VONC before terminal damage is done.

Also, Motorway Fighting seems to be the new fad:

There's also talk from Pontypool that Hope Not Hate have sent a threatening e-mail to Councillor Sarah Lang and that Gwent Police have been informed. If anything develops on this story, I'll post it here.

@Otterly don't worry about the temporary ban, you're a good and solid 'Farmer and a lot of us who only posted in that thread out of concern for Charlie Kirk also got morons trying to attack us.

I have a radical idea and I hope the glowies watching us here can pass it up the chain of command.

Stop spending money.

There. It's a radical solution but I think it can solve some of our debt issues. Spend less money and then you don't have to keep hiking taxes on every thing until people can't afford to eat any more.

The entire idea of the government putting itself between family member to siphon away gift money is fucking hideous.
Agreed, and the Blairites are not going to have it.

They want to position Darren Jones as COTE by late October/early November and they'll want him to appeal to the nation. Perhaps cutting taxes, stimulating growth and a freeze/pause on raising duty might just calm people down as that is the only way Labour will be able to get a Budget through on November 26th (if still in office).

Apparently a VONC in the Budget is being considered already, and there is no guarantee that Labour MP's angry with Starmer will back it even with a three-line whip. They can always stand as Independents or join other parties, therefore the threat element for disobedience is diminished.

That will then make me wonder as to whether or not Starmer will go to the Palace if he feels that the party are trying to get rid of him and undermine his position. The 'Nuclear Option' if you will.

Starmer isn't bothered that Rayner is gone, but it Reeves goes then he'll go too.

Can you imagine someone trying to threaten you by kicking you out of the most hated governments in the country's history? If you don't do as we tell you we're going to kick you out of the boy diddling Muslim worshipers club so you... might actually win your local election? :story:

That's what happens when big ego's collide.

The Starmer Party or The Labour Party - one of them has to go... and I think we know that the likes of Blair, Beckett, Brown, Kinnock, Hodge etc. aren't going to allow Starmer to take their toy off them.

I'm just waiting as to when the Ginger Whinger ('our Ange') is going to go public on Starmer.

Starmergeddon anybody?

If he’s paying the going rate who fucking cares?
Read the article. Hampshire is in a water shortage at the moment - for stupid reasons*, granted. Not that the reasons matter. The water company is entirely with its rights to ban him from trucking their water out of the county. Water is a public resource and shouldn't be hoarded by a wannabe aristocrat.

*Too many immigrants and a near-total moratorium on building new reservoirs to "save the environment", because governments are stupid.

Some heartwarming news for a Friday evening; Big Ange is in danger of running out of money.

We go live to Scotland for this reaction from one M. Meechan Esq:

Also, Clive Lewis MP backstabs Starmer:

It begins...

I think I've discovered a new form of "shrinkflation" : teabag manufacturers have been making the perforations between pairs of teabags shitter, so they never tear cleanly down the middle. Instead one teabag tears and spills loose tea all over the FUCKING kitchen floor.

They've made the bags thinner as well.
