A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

I can see that being a thing. I've had to work with so called university graduates and they end up being window licking retards who get let go within 2 months tops.
All that money and time spent on a five year course on Intersexual Basket Weaving...

Who would ever have realised that it would be as useful as a condom machine in the Vatican?

@femboy fart huffer That's classified - though the only migrants near me are from Ukraine and all want to go back home. Decent enough people and I do have sympathy with them as they don't want to be here. There were some illegal Chinese and Vietnamese found not too far away a few years ago.

The only thing my neighbourhood watches is fucking antiques roadshow or love island. I mean what does knowing there are criminals near me help? I already know that. Knowing what they look like doesn't matter because I have no way to deal with them. The only time it would matter is if they broke into my house and in that case I'll treat them in the exact same way as someone I didn't know.
I don't live in a third world shit hole hive. Knowing there's someone about makes the community watch closer than usual.

However, the true toll of migrant crime blighting neighbourhoods across Britain may be higher, given our investigation only looked at around 65 hotels known to have accommodated migrants as part of a £3billion Government scheme.

Fuelled by the worsening small boats crisis in the Channel, up to 220 sites – including the four-star Copthorne Hotel near Gatwick – were needed to house asylum seekers at one point, many of whom arrived illegally on dinghies.

Our analysis of court records reveals that assault (69) was the most common crime migrants were accused of, followed by theft (54). Drug-related offences (45), sexual assault (35) and weapon-related crimes, such as possession of a knife (31) rounded out the top five.

Sexual assault is #4 with 35
#9 is rape with 24
Exposure is in last place with 5

If we put all these together we end up with 64 which puts sexual crimes the 2nd most popular migrant crime after assault. If you remove exposure it's still the 2nd most common crime.

Actually I'm just joking lads. I forgot to add the other sexual crimes

Child sex offenses has 11 and other sex offences is has 7. Giving is our new grand total of 82. As you can see assault at 69 holds the official record but if we add the actual number of sexual crimes together it takes the top spot easily.

The Mail's analysis is likely to underestimate the true extent of some alleged crimes, because if someone is charged with two counts of the same crime on one rap sheet, we have only counted it as one to avoid cases of double counting.

For example, if an individual was charged with two counts of assault and one of theft on the same rap sheet, we will have counted one assault and one theft.

Similar crimes have been grouped together, such as attempted rape and rape being grouped as just rape, and driving offences, such as driving without insurance, driving without a licence, being grouped under 'driving offences'.

And this is just what they have been done for.

Wash the tarp in bleach. (1:10 domestos:water should do it)
Hydrogen peroxide. Chlorine bleach leaves stuff behind that can be seen on black light and it doesn’t degrade haemoglobin. Luminol will reveal bleach cleaned blood stains.
(Before any metposting is alleged this is common knowledge in lab circles where
blood is used .)
3% h2o2

some of them now have stairs made out of MDF. MD-fucking-F stairs!
One of them designs that meets the spec but really the new build if it's a bit damp or has a leak or anything the stairs are going to break after a bit. I bet it's the sub contractor of a sub contractor of a sub contractor couldn't be fucked to get the right materials so just grabbed MDF as it was cheaper or all the nearest builders merchants had that day.

Why are we cleaning blood up? I'm muslim. All my meat needs to be halal and I can't find anywhere that offers that local so I just did it in my own home. It's just blood from like a pig or a rat that's all. You wouldn't want to be islamaphobic now would you? I mean I have a dog she probably just shit splattered everywhere from eating meat that's just what she does. I mean why do we care here anyway. We all know that killing someone is less of a crime than being racist online anyway, if any of us ever get arrested the murder charge would be the least of the worries smh.
For such a small nation, we've given quite a lot to the world.
Tbf literally almost all food on earth is the result of both england and spain. If the british empire never existed india wouldn't really have chilies or tomatoes. Almost all italian food uses something that is only in europe because of spain. If it wasn't for spain nowhere would have tomato, potato, corn, chili, loads of shit. And if it wasn't for the british empire it wouldn't be commonplace in most of those areas. Most common cooking techniques are in some manner french too. The oldest ovens are european and every single electric/gas oven has it's roots in england. The only other country that has anywhere near the western european impact on food is china but most of that influence stayed in asia. Or I guess if you want to be pedantic mesopotamia does have an even bigger impact because that's where the concept of crops came from but still.

Welsh cakes are great. Scotch pancakes too. British food is far better than the way it’s mocked. I had some cawl in a little cafe in Cardiff in one of their covered arcades and it was genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Had seaweed sprinkles on too.

Heh. You reminded me of this Histeria bit.

English food being bad is a psyop from our most ancient of enemies.
The fucking French.
Could you imagine any other nation having the sheer fucking audacity to take the folklore of another nation and add an overpowered self insert gary stu who cucks the MC and kills a bunch of heroes?
Because that's "Lancelot du Lac".

We obviously don't hate Labour anywhere near enough... I am sure I've seen this in 'The Thick Of It':
