A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

This thread is so horrifying and sad.

It always gets me how a country with a state religion has gotten this bad. CAM ON INGERLAND *BOMP* *BOMP* MAKE EM CONVERT TO ANGLICANISM AT LEAST *BOMP* *BOMP*

In London they are starting to describe loads of 200+ bedroom with shared bathrooms and kitchens things as "co-living". They are all built in the Labour run councils who have had members becoming MPs and setting the policy for others to copy.
35 years ago I had to go to St Petersburg for work. I was surpised how many of the natives I worked with lived in fairly large houses and apartment blocks, in which they lived in one room, and shared the kitchen and bathroom with everyone else on their floor.

Bringing back Communism!

Speaking of death, it's goodbye to Weight Watchers after they filed for bankruptcy:

The Redwall Caucus is having a meeting today to discuss Starmer. I would kill to be a fly on the wall and hear those conversations. These MPs are the ones who tend to call Starmer out, and they are not happy.

This meeting was raised by a columnist on The Times podcast. I just have this feeling in my bones that something is coming down the line. Starmer is an idiot for pissing off Cooper though because she is one of the few of the cabinet in Westminster that is "respected".
Starmer's also pissed off the Northern Female MP's...

Zero days since the last Labour screw up....

Ohh, now this is what I like to see. So many Corbyn-branded spears for Starmer to fall into on his way out of office. Going to be a wild couple of years, that's for sure.

Diane Abbott just needs to get a good shot in before Corbyn gets a turn. Reminds me of this:

Starmer's one of those politicians that doesn't have the huge funny explosion story, he is literally that boring. I think everyone knew Johnson's tenure would end before the next election because of a scandal. Does Starmer even give enough of a shit in anything to cause a scandal (besides designer sunglasses, of course)?

JFC even LBC are pissed at the India trade deal and the Daily Mirror too. Good job, Starmer, you have made a largely communist MSM turn against you. I would be impressed if I were not living in the mess you created.

One of the developments they're putting up for housing illegals is in Huddersfield.

Yes,you read right. Huddersfield. A huge housing development full of young, fighting age, inclined men is going to be put in a town with a massive student population.

That's going to end with yet more rapes and sexual assaults, isn't it?

And £4million a DAY? That is absolutely obscene. £28 million a week to house people who have no right to be here who entered the country illegally who will be allowed to stay by spineless judges. That's just for just housing .Not fold, clothing, free to them bus passes, private dental care. That's just to keep a roof over their heads.

We need @JosephStalin to run one of his special missions.
We'd need multiple barges to handle that many.

Knowing Labour the pajeets will probably have the ability to vote, from being part of the commonwealth. They’ve lost every other voter base, so let’s import some.
Unless I am retarded and I read it wrong - they do 100% have the right to vote

A person is a qualifying Commonwealth citizen if they do not require permission to enter or stay in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man or they do require permission to enter or stay in the UK but have been granted such permission, or are treated as having been granted such permission.

Any type of permission to enter or stay is acceptable, whether indefinite, time limited or conditional.

Good luck british bros :(

RIP the Tories.

If Jenrick joins Reform UK, then the coffin will be ordered.

Just when you thought you couldn't hate Labour any more:

'Fuck your kids, they can die for Net Zero'.

Also, rumours abound that Irish music maestro's 'Kneecap' are going to change their name, in an attempt to rebrand themselves following recent controversies:

They will henceforth be known as Sinn Fein Clown Posse.

The only saving grace is that they have to present ID to vote, which seems to be a difficult task for them.
But it shouldn't, because they will have a passport
It's the ones on the boats that throw away their documents, not the ones the ones that are there legally

Maybe registering could be more difficult. But there can be well meaning leftist volunteers who target specific areas to suggest people how to register, then collect postal votes, etc

Southport riots review finds police have not kept up with social media risks
Crossposting from Summer of discontent thread. Police give out a bunch of excuses for why the riots happened but the most significant tidbit is them admitting that this wasn't all orchestrated by the far-right. They concur that people are genuinely pissed off with things, and those angers were further stoked by misinfo online.
The police inspectorate found no conclusive evidence the disorder was co-ordinated by extremist groups but said it was mostly incited by "disaffected individuals, influencers or groups" online.
A report published on Wednesday said most of those involved were local and the violence "was mainly unrelated to their ideology or political views".
"Some of the main reasons for the widespread disorder were social deprivation, austerity and the economic downturn, political policies and decisions on migration and asylum, and decreasing trust and confidence in policing," it said.
His Majesty's Chief Inspector of Constabulary Sir Andy Cooke said misinformation and disinformation posted online helped fuel the disorder and misleading posts were left up too long.
The review found cash-strapped forces haven't invested enough in resources and technology, leaving many with an "exceptionally limited capability to effectively manage and respond to online content".
Sir Andy called for social media companies to act more quickly to take down misleading posts and regulator Ofcom to get beefed-up powers to make them take action.
The National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) said the report fails to accurately assess policing's role in countering harmful online material and the challenge requires a coordinated, cross government approach.
NPCC chair Chief Constable Gavin Stephens said: "While there are lessons to learn, it is crucial to acknowledge that law enforcement does not - and should not - regulate online content.
"Responsibility for ensuring information is accurate and does not fuel harm lies with those posting it, platform providers and regulatory bodies."
This further fuels my optimism for the most part about the internet, since nobody wants the responsibility of trying to police it and counter 'misinfo'. Andy says the police need to do more, social media has to act faster, but then the police say it's not their responsibility to police/regulate the internet and it's the platforms and regulators who handle that shit whilst panhandling for more money. I doubt Ofcom will get the powers Sir Andy wishes they did anytime soon.

West Yorkshire is getting tons of housing developments aimed at housing foreigners.

Dewsbury/Batley is full of them, including wanting to knock down a church to build flats on it. Wakefield has a ton of on-going housing developments and Leeds and certainly Bradford may as well be conquered land at this point and I do not believe any actual white people live there (if you say you do then you are lying).

As a whole, West Yorkshire has to be one of the most grim areas of the whole country. The majority of towns and cities are full of foreigners and it's an assault on the ears to hear so many different languages spoken at once besides English. It's being prepped to receive more and more immigrants as the families and councillors prepare to welcome more of their kind over to effectively make the place into a giant ethnic enclave in which they will never be voted out and they will never be expected to integrate as these towns will no longer be British.

Take note that statistically West Yorkshire Police are the worst in the whole country.
Bugger.

Oh well, I suppose the best thing to do is laugh in the face of this adversity...

I parodied this hit by the great Mick Jagger and David Bowie (RIP) just for you guys:

SHITTING IN THE STREETS

Calling out to Britbong land
Are you ready to house more Pajeets?
Summer's here and you know that we'll
Be shitting in your streets

Shitting there in London
(Shitting in the streets)
In Wolverhampton too
(Shitting in the streets)
and down in Cardiff
(Shitting in the streets)

Oh, you know we're pooing;
Our doings,
You will smell them everywhere!
And we'll do some raping
Whilst defecating
Shitting in the streets!

Oh!

And if we cannot use a loo
We'll squat down and follow through!
Now, come on
Indians, and Paki's too
It's time to do a 'Number Two'

We'll be shitting
Shitting in your streets
(Shitting in the streets)

Well it's no worry
If we've had a curry
No need to be discreet!
If you Whiteys can't face it
We'll say that you're racist
and shit there on your feet!

Down in Brighton and Hove
(Shitting in the streets)
Birmingham and Derby, yeah
(Shitting in the streets)
Don't forget Bradistan City!
(Shitting in the streets)
On the streets of Swindon
(Shitting in the streets)
All of your cities and towns
We'll be turning them brown!

Oh,you know we're pooing
Our doings
You will smell them everywhere!
Well I come from Jaipur
and I do not wipe, Sir
Shitting in the streets!

Oh!

And if we cannot use a loo
We'll squat down and follow through
Now, come on
Drop your pants, have no fear
A solid mass or diarrhea

We'll be shitting
Shitting in your streets
(Shitting in the streets)

Anyhow anyway
Everyday
Shitting in your streets!

We don't care what you think
We'll just stink
Shitting in your streets!

Courtesy of GB News, Labour MP Pat McFadden warns that Labour 'have to win' the fight against Reform UK:

'An ally of Sir Keir Starmer has warned Labour backbenchers should be up for the "fight of our lives" against Reform UK.

Cabinet office minister Pat McFadden was speaking to around 100 Labour MPs in a Commons committee room for an hour after last week's dismal local election results.

Officially billed by the party's top brass as a briefing on their "plan for change", the meeting of the Parliamentary Labour Party quickly descended into a showdown where sources said McFadden was acting as a "human shield" for Starmer.

McFadden opened the speech saying: "The big point I want to make to you is that a new fight is taking shape.

"It's a fight between our values and a nationalist politics of the right. It's a battle for the very future and the heart and soul of our country."

"Labour is always at its best when we look to the future. This is the fight of our lives, this is the generational fight in this new political era. I want to tell you we have to take on this new fight for the future - and we have to win."

Many of the party's most high-profile rebels on winter fuel payments, benefit cuts and other issues were absent, with the exception of former Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott.

The MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington and Mother of the House attended but left before the end, declining to talk to journalists, reports Sky News.'

A plan for change? Resetting the Reset which hasn't worked?

Somebody's worried...

GB News can reveal that premises were searched as eight suspects were arrested

Asylum hotels were searched as counter-terror police and military personnel detained five Iranian nationals over the weekend, GB News can reveal.

As part of the pre-planned operation, five men were arrested by the Met's Counter Terrorism Command.

Four men are still being questioned by police over an alleged terror plot in Britain while a fifth Iranian man has been released on bail.

The men were arrested in west London, Rochdale, Manchester, Swindon and Stockport.

Two of the men are aged 29, another is 40-year-old, one is 24-year-old and another is aged 46.

They were arrested in the early hours of Saturday.

GB News understands that asylum hotels were searched as part of the operation and that some of the men had an irregular route of entry to Britain.

On Saturday, police said the nationality and age of one of the men was still being established, but all five men have since had their ages and Iranian nationality confirmed.

On Monday, the Met said the "affected site" that was the target of the alleged plot had been informed and was being supported by the force.

Cdr Dominic Murphy, head of the Met's Counter Terrorism Command, said officers "are progressing what is a significant and highly complex investigation".

"The investigation is still in its early stages and we are exploring various lines of enquiry to establish any potential motivation as well as to identify whether there may be any further risk to the public linked to this matter," he added.
Imagine the shock that the boat people had terrorists amongst them.
