That's because for one thing, Anita Sarkeesian is actually sane, and can frame her opinions in a way that they sound more or less mainstream. A lot of what she says isn't particularly wrong, either. Yes, there are sexist tropes in video games. This is not news to anyone. She can also superficially sound like she knows what she's talking about at least to an audience that has never played any of the games she talks about, although her glib, facile commentary offers nothing new or insightful, and is often outright bogus.

Also, Anita is more or less photogenic and can look and sound reasonable on TV. She does the act well, or well enough, at least.

By comparison, Wu looks like a fucking scarecrow on crack, and apparently refuses to wear any kind of makeup, resulting in a walking dead type appearance. And that's before the crazy talk starts pouring out.

Similarly, Zoe Quinn is basically a train wreck of a human. There's really nothing interesting about her.

Yep, every single point here is true. Even though I don't like her very much, Anita is definitely the best candidate when compared to people like Brianna and Zoe.

Plus, at least sometimes Anita tries to talk about things that don't revolve her harassment. Brianna and Zoe literally never shut the fuck up about what victims they are. That doesn't really bring a lot to the table.

Differences between Anita and the other two (Wu and Quinn):

A real degree in a fairly important subject (Bachelor in Communication, Masters in Social and Political Thought)
A tangible difference made ($300 million donation to increasing diversity in the workplace with Intel)
Some positive effects (Feminist Frequency in its early stages in 2009-2011 was legit)
Not lying about money (She used the KS money to make her little show better and go more in depth while the leftover money is going to two more series...Where's the game, Wu?)
Appearance (I'd do her at least once)
Not completely a victim (as said before, she has opinions and a life that GG and the like isn't a part of)

Sure she isn't without problems, especially with that whole debacle in stealing video clips from youtubers, but overall she isn't a bad person like the other two.
I honestly have no real opinion on Anita, while I would love to see Wu and Quinn get trapped on an island with no internet for a few years.

Communications is one of the easiest degrees to obtain at the undergrad level, and though she got a Masters in "Social and Political Thought", her entire master's thesis is on watching tv. You can read it here. I basically reads with the sophistication I would expect from a high school freshman, also there's a shoutout to McIntosh in the beginning so I'm betting he wrote like half of it.

Intel also cut their overall budget by $300 million for the same year. The whole diversity thing was basically them moving money around for good PR.

I don't think anyone knew about Feminist Frequency prior to all the "harassment" they got from their kickstarter in 2012. Whether or not they produced any decent content, I don't think many people saw it.

Their Kickstarter campaign raised almost $160,000 to produce 12 videos on sexist tropes in video games. As of today they have only released 7 of the 12, over 3 years later. The latest being released on August 31st this year.

Before becoming McIntosh's meat puppet for Feminist Frequency, her previous job was scamming people out of money with some pyramid scheme. She's still doing the same shit, just on a bigger scale and with a more socially acceptable product. The only thing she has going for her versus Wu is that she is at the end of the day she is actually a woman
 
I know I'm really shallow and an asshole for picking such low hanging fruit but Wu is just not even remotely attractive. Nearly every photo she's in is worse than the one that came before it

I highly doubt John has the ability to do the actually coding required to make Rev60 for PC. That's prolly the main reason for the year long delay, he's been unable to con a female coder into doing the work.

After all who wouldn't want to work for a lazy tranny hipster who not only won't pay you for your work but also erase your name from the credits and claim your work as their own!

My mind boggles.
