Anyone believe this Patreon is legitimate? Almost looks like some money laundering is going on.
That absurd monthly amount reminds me of how Walt laundered money through savewalterwhite.com.
Or am I being too suspicious? Doesn't Wu have rich parents?
Last I remember, Wu was fast approaching deep shit in her connections with Patreon so it's not an impossibility it's a laundering operation. Would also explain a bit more in how Wu wouldn't give a red cent to whoever the hell it was that wanted some of the hipster money going to Wu.
Furthermore, a quick check on Honda (because I can't identify anything about Wu's shitty bike) Motorbikes on the main page has the most expensive option for their standard model sport bike with all the trimmings be about $14K. Just a little more than what Wu gets through Patreon
monthly.
Like, $14K is probably expoentially more than the combined budgets of
all three FNAF games which the first two already have had ports to mobile platforms and total resource redesigns between each game. Giant Spacekat has yet to even show any progress of there being a rough playable prototype of R60 on PC
or its sequel even
existing, even though with that kind of budget she easily could have bought the computer
Jay Gies had wet dreams about with the graphics card powerful enough to render fucking
Dreamworks films on and
still had plenty of money to double the size of her "team" who ghost-develops shit with her name on it.
At this point, I'm pretty sure R62 or whatever the sequel was is never happening. It's a shit game and Wu
knows it. But it gave her a foothold into the spotlight and her 15 minutes of fame, and with this sudden influx of absurd thousands of dollars through Patreon, Wu finds being "professional victim" far more enjoyable and profitable than actual game development.
