How the hell can he keep getting away with this? Even the shitty jobs I've applied to did a simple background check to prove I am who I said I was and that the degree I claimed is real.

I doubt Brianna will get away with it if she - for whatever reason - has the need to get a real job at some point in the future.

As long as her "job" is professional victim, there's no need for credentials.

That's the trick! Wu has never applied for a real job and has always been self-employed by virtue of wanting to be important right from the word go, without ever having received a proper education or building up a solid foundation to do real work in the tech industry. No big company would hire Wu, but if you are your own boss you can ignore your shortcomings quite easily.

Some arbitrary convention that isn't the GDC or another reputable gathering of competent people is not going to check up on the people they invite. All they see is the claim of importantce and they jump on it because it makes them look good to the deranged SJW crowd.

It's possible that someone advocated her and bypassed the vetting process. I have done this before and it's pretty easy if you know the right people or the right people know who you are.

With speaking gigs like the one she's currenlty going to in the hub of global tech issues, Winnipeg, Wu is paying to be allowed to go there (or so it seems). So I wouldn't be surprised if these blips were send in by the person paying to speak themselves.
As long as they pay, they might as well write some self-serving nonsense to attract some people.

True. Maybe a "kept woman" is the right term.

Whatever it is, Frank does the work, Frank pays the bills, and Frank supports them both. All the bragging in the world doesn't change the reality that Wu sits home all day doing nothing.

I know it's a really dickish thought, but wouldn't it be hilarious if Frank dumped John?
Just imagine the amount of salt we'd get on Twitter the moment John could no longer leech off of Franks money.
I would genuinely be interested to see what he'd do in that case...

But this is right up "What will Chris do when Barb dies"-Alley, so whatever. There's more pressing issues, like Revolting60: Sensory Overload Editon... I hope @Smutley's body is ready. I assume there's no answer from Wu concerning your e-mail for a free copy?

I was curious to see if any news sites were chattering about Revolution 60, so I googled it. I got a bunch of old articles and such - as expected - but also some info about the upcoming Homefront: The Revolution given that "revolution" is in the title.

Flynt is releasing his game less than a week before it launches, so it won't be long before a bunch of articles start popping up. Wouldn't it be just delicious if any news about his game is buried by search engines in a wave of Homefront news? I think that's a worse fate for him than malice.

Let's be honest, more than half of Frank's shit basically belongs to John already. The only difference he'd see in his life is that the Twitter Demon would be gone, and he could go back to eating real food again.

Really, I think that's a pretty sweet deal for him.

Brianna has held exactly two jobs in her professional life where she wasn't her own boss - the internship with Trent Lott's office and a clerk at Gamestop. Most of the people who still try to keep her relevant are connections she made through Frank. To say she would be fucked without Frank is an understatement.

But this is all fun, speculatory fantasy. There is no evidence to suggest that Frank would ever leave Brianna and Brianna isn't leaving Frank for obvious reasons.
