So would it be fair to say that it's easier to see what's funny about this guy if you're familiar with TF2 and its fandom?
That might not be too off the mark, yeah. Sugar's been entrenched in TF2 for like, the past
six years now, and has occasionally strayed into the Homestuck fandom (they had a thing for Equius in a maid dress, for instance) or into Venture Brothers (more due to aping my Hunter Thompson fangirl-ism than anything else). But for the most part? All TF2, all the time. It has become the basis of their whole identity, quite literally, and they only got into it to suck up to somebody else.
Most of what you need to know is that Sugar identifies as a TF2 character, gets upset when other people claim to be the same character, takes great offense when bad things are depicted happening to that character, and as that character, ships themself with other characters, who might actually be other people roleplaying those characters, and will get "triggered" seeing art with of those characters shipped with characters Sugar does not like (like the Medic). Sugar, like Vade, will also assign traits to that character that they do not actually have to make them more "acceptable" to their SJW views (Sugar's insistence that Sniper is chubby when his character model is among the lankiest of all the classes, for instance, because Sugar hates skinny bitches). Sugar will take selfies, trying to emulate this character they bare no physical resemblance to, and loudly insist that they are the true BLU Sniper,
literally for real, you guys.
It's
absurd, as a fan, to see Sugar loudly declare their love for a character whose characterization they get so utterly
wrong, or will "fix" that character's personality to suit their needs. It is amusing to see them go into histronics over a joke made at this characters expense, saying that
they want to kill themselves over a character being the butt of a cheap joke.
What makes this even crazier is that this is all very recent. Sugar's identity shifts quite a bit, and while they've been Sniper for a while, it used to be the Spy they latched onto, though that was before they became FTM and then non-binary and otherkin. And before they were roleplaying a rape-happy, mpregnant Spy, they were latching onto Rorschach.
It's all very bizarre. Combined with the mpreg obsession, the propensity for stalking and holding grudges
for years, the mimicry, the inexplicable fixation on eggs, and being a member of the Cult of Vade... well, it's a
spectacle, if nothing else.
Sadly, I am wondering if this thread will just be kind of a sad display of Sugar's mental state until Sugar finds this thread and sends Mars in to lecture us about how hard Sugar's life is, because THEY CAN'T REMEMBER ANYTHING BEFORE AGE SEVEN,

You know. Because Sugar won't do that. They'll be too busy pretending that they're not even bovvered.
