Most of it from what I've seen isn't that bad, just your regular perverts and slash ficcers (my people, basically). But like Doc said, there's always those few crazy apples.

Some fandoms just attract more crazy than others. See the Sonic fandom.

So I was discussing Sugar with a friend of mine over Skype, somebody I haven't had an intimate conversation with in a while since she moved more than halfway across the country. I learned that years ago, when Sugar was first latching onto me, they also latched onto this friend of mine, sending her fucking shotacon in her Tumblr askbox. Like, out of nowhere. We were discussing Sugar and she was like "Oh fuck, I remember her, she sent me a whole bunch of asks and some of them were shota?" Also, she had remembered that Sugar had been calling themself Tony Stark for a while as well, which I had completely forgot about.

Again, this is years ago, and her word. She has no reason to lie about this, but I would have to do some deep digging to get evidence for this, and they've changed URLs and blogs a lot. I imagine most of those exchanges were private and long-since deleted.

I'm not going to ask my friend to join the forum if only because I don't know how comfortable she would be with doing so, but considering Sugar's association with Vade and having forced mpreg roleplay on a minor... not a surprising thing to hear that Sugar also liked the shota.

Then again, Homestuck obsession. All the characters are minors. There's that.
 
Holy fuck I used to know this person way back through TF2 fandom when they were Mr Mundy. Only for a short time though, because they were a little too aggressively friendly and gave me weird vibes so I distanced myself. Looks like I dodged a bullet, score one for finally learning to trust my "this person is creeping me out" instincts.

Sugar creeped on a ton of people in the fandom, man. I'm convinced there's very few people that they didn't creep on.

Purely because I felt like it, I looked into Sugar earlier. Sure enough, the individual mentioned in this Anon post was one of the very vocal "omg cub porn is harmless" voices, purportedly, during the era where FurAffinity, perhaps realizing that even it had some standards, banned such content under pedophilia concerns.

I have yet to verify this fully, but draw your own conclusions.

I was on FurAffinity for that fallout. I was personally more excited about the declaration that they were finally going to crack down on practicing zoophiles, but that was not the case.

Personally I am of the opinion that two consenting adults doing whatever roleplay they want is, in a strictly legal sense, permissible. No children are getting hurt, and it's far preferable to any minors being violated, psychologically or physically.

But just because you can't go to jail for it, doesn't mean that you're not gross creepy weirdo who I'd want to stay away from and wouldn't want anywhere near any actual children.

If Sugar's associating with somebody who feels the need to defend that kind of behavior... well, I suppose that puts them in good company with Vade, who defended that shotacon a few weeks back.

Sorry for double posting, but I learned that this happened over an AIM convo, not a Tumblr ask. Also, the shota in question was a fat Equius from Homestuck, depicted as being somewhere between the ages of 5-6.

Don't know if it was blatantly pornographic, but Sugar does have a fat fetish and has expressed sexual attraction to that particular Homestuck character.

Draw your own conclusions.

Out of all the characters in Homestuck they could focus their fat fetish on, they chose Equius?! The guy that's ridiculously strong and builds robots for the sole purpose of fighting them? What the actual fuck?

Heavy Weapons Guy is an actual fat dude in TF2 but Sugar chooses to apply their fat fetish to Sniper and Demoman instead.

Also, this realization made me figure out what the basis for one of their... fursonas, I guess, is:

I can't find any artwork of Equius with hooves where he's not a centaur, but I am 100% convinced that Sugar took the idea of a satyr-like Equius and applied it to their very original character.

Equius has a thing about horses (hence his name) so it's not too much of a stretch to have a hooffeet Original the Character Equius knockoff. Especially for this asshole. Also, was this Equius fixation sparked by being friends with someone who liked Equius? Because I can't really understand their interest in him otherwise, since he doesn't seem the type of character that would attract Special Snowflakes.

because they love to make characters they identify with at that current moment relate to them. This means making them obese even if they are skinnier than a rail or are super muscly and work out a lot. it doesnt matter. they will turn that character fat.
