Antony Fantano is the most annoying person I've ever seen in my 15 year history of watching youtube.
His content is garbage, his music reviews are "the popular opinion" repetitive copy pasted garbage of yas queen twitter.
I commend the people who can stand watching him for more than 1 minute.

Yeah most of his content is hard to watch because of how tedious his reviews are. I've seen people like GmanLives who actually put effort into their reviews than just sperg about stuff at a camera Digibro style.
 
I actually searched the site a couple months ago to see if there was a thread on him, because there should have been. He's such a jerk and I think he probably always kind of has been a jerk. He seems like he has issues with anxiety and insecurity and that's why he's so angry and confrontational. Actually I would wager that anyone who isn't a news coverage page and sends out more than 5 tweets a day (and that's being generous, because that's still a lot -- 35 in one week) probably fits that description.

It's also interesting to look at his Twitter stats:

I don't know if the big gap there is because he went back and deleted a bunch of shit, or disabled his account for that period (doubtful for a confirmed Twitter addict), but it looks like his activity is centered around Presidential election times. I get the impression politics give him major anxiety because the outcomes and the opposing opinions of others aren't something he can unilaterally control and rudely soapboxing on Twitter probably makes him feel like he is more in control of a situation that freaks him out. People who act preachy and need to boss other people around so much are usually doing it more to give themselves guidance than anyone else, even if they don't consciously realize this. I believe his smug brand of veganism is just another symptom of his general anxiety and need to feel superior and in control.


Regarding his extreme hard-left virtue signalling after the hit piece, I always like the analogy BG Kumbi used about Fantano and Sam Hyde after their respective 'cancellations' -- "Sam Hyde came out of the bike shop laughing, and Anthony Fantano came out crying", referring to the 'very special episode' of Different Strokes called The Bicycle Man.
 
How are music review channels so boring compared other review channels? I always hear that Fantano is so charismatic but I don’t find him that charismatic at all. Sure he make stupid faces in front of the camera, that probably makes him more comfortable on the camera than most music reviewers, but charismatic?

I don’t want to rag on him too much. When he had his old channel (doing his vlogs not his shitty meme reviews), he seemed like a really nice guy. He responded to my brother’s email years ago about who knows what but it was a positive interaction from what I’ve been told. It’s a shame he’s such a douche on twitter.

Does being a mass consoomer make you a knowledgeable, and honest critic?

I just now realized his Twitter handle on the top says “Left Is Best”, but he’s telling people to figure their own problems to why you block them on Twitter.

Is he in favor of letting people starve for not knowing how knowledgeable Fantano is on every subject that has nothing to do with music? Doesn’t that go against the “Left’s” standards?

Probably because Anthony will throw anyone who he used to associate with under the bus. It doesn't matter if TJ is a leftist, Anthony associated with him when he was anti-sjw so therefore he's bad and has to be mocked so Anthony appears good.

Yeah lol if you go on TJ's DFF podcast channel a good half of the political videos are anti-trump and the co-host Paul is pretty open about being pro-socialist. But TJ allowed Milo Yiannopoulos, Razor fist and a few other anti-sjw people a platform to speak so he's not the good kind of leftist anymore.
