What makes me laugh is Kanye is unreviewable because he names the Jew and goes on unhinged bipolar rants about Benjamin Netan-yoohoo in an Elmo voice, but like 99% of rappers boast about murder, using and selling drugs, abusing women and generally being a menace to society and that is fine because they keepin' it real or whatever the fuck.

Fantano is a fucking faggot, as are all music reviewers. It makes sense to read reviews of movies/games/books because those are a sizeable time investment, but with music literally just listen to a snippet on Youtube and make your own mind up. Fantano is a redundant oxygen thief on top of everything else.
 
I'm very glad Fantano is such an obviously miserable person

I liked using his reviews just to hear about new (to me) artists, though would rarely really watch his reviews beyond the very start to get a little background on the artist and maybe the very end to see the score if I wasn't that interested in the album.
Some time during 2019, he just became too insufferable to even use as a glorified music RSS feed so I just stopped watching him entirely.
Every single time I've seen him since has reaffirmed that I made the correct decision because he's only managed to get way worse.

Honestly he’s more insufferable since he’s more easily prone to sperging out when criticized. It’s hard to take a guy who cries about being addicted to Roblox when he was younger seriously.

It's cause he's a grifter. He could've made a tweet or mentioned it in one of his streams that he's not gonna review the Ye album. But, he wouldn't be making money off of it. He's also ranted about capitalism (despite having a career that can only pay him as well as it does, with capitalism), and tried to gaslight people into thinking he didn't get cancelled and that the Fader controversy was because of capitalism.

Sergeant D/Punk Rock MBA/Finn McKenty is a little bit of a lolcow himself. He puts identity talking points in his vid (like how metalheads are racist cause they don't like trap metal, how calling bands "female fronted" is bad cause gender blindness), he seethes and spergs out when other channels criticize him (despite most of his vids being criticisms of subgenres). And the most important one, he was 35 when he flew out to Seattle to meet his wife (who was 17 at the time).

I wouldn't have a problem with someone not wanting to review someones work because the artists comments or actions truly bothered them so much it would make them unable to enjoy the music, but Fantano's hypocrisy is pathetic.

Note: He gave MBDTF by Ye a 6/10 because he didn't care about Kanye's personal life so he effectively didn't enjoy Rolling Stone's #1 nominated album of the 2010s. However, it matters to melon now. I'm glad mainstream music fans are finally getting over this guy.

he's always hated kanye. he gave pablo a 4 or something and got trolled for it so hard he re-reviewed it with like a 7. he has an unending kanye grudge stemming from his fans shitting on him for hating kanye. he doesn't care that kanye named the nose he's just happy to have justification for his boiling hatred of him

Nice! I haven't met anyone else familiar with him. Funny how he'd make fun of people with an "azn fetish" and end up marrying one. He lost his edge as soon as he dropped his pseudonym and got married. I used to follow him way back, but he's always been a scumbag. He'd flirt and hook up with girls that'd post in his comment section. He recently said he's on the spectrum, but I'm guessing that's a way to atone for his past.
 
It never stops being funny that he got one unfair article on some worthless hipster liberal site accusing him of being alt-right and instead of just ignoring it, he makes one of the most dramatic overcorrections in youtube history and becomes the biggest pussy imaginable. It's like he has some KGB handlers watching him behind the camera. "Did I say all that right? Was I progressive enough? Please don't cancel me and ruin my career. I'll do anything."

I don't think he was going to budge on MBDTF and doubled down and gave it a 6 when he reviewed it again for his 1M subscriber milestone. Also, he gave KSG a 10.
It is evidently clear he was never a big fan of Kanye just because he gets the most backlash from his audience whenever he gives Kanye a mid rating, which is just fine.

He chose to draw the line here because some shitty Fader article in 2015 said he was alt-right and it's made him a neurotic mess since then. I absolutely agree that he probably saw this as an opportunity to finally hit people with a leftist moral high ground mindset because he loves dunking on high schoolers over Twitter
