Conspiracy Theory: This was strategic. It's called triangulation and is common in Cluster B types, as a way to foster a rivalry between people in order to manipulate a situation and assert control. Defending Becky here is Amber's way of letting Becky know her sister is the enemy of truth, but her girlfriend's got her back. Which is hilarious. Like Amber gives two shits about Misty or Becky's political leanings, or politics in general.
Maybe Misty's been in Becky's ear too much since the passing of their mother, and Amber sees an opportunity to create a rift. She did the same thing with Rafe and Hannah a couple years back. I can't remember the vlog, but Becky got SO heated and was talking massive shit about them while Amber sat there and kind of egged her on the whole time, smirking and unable to hide her barely-contained amusement at the situation.
I'm glad you pointed this out because it's another check in the "Amberlynn is a narcissist" column.
Have you noticed that she does this with Becky and her audience as well? There have been multiple times where she's been obviously trying to turn her audience against Becky (who actually mostly like her, at least the majority) and Becky against her audience.
One instance that really comes to mind is when Amberlynn purposefully brought out an embarrassing personal grooming item of Becky's on camera, kind of smirking while she did it, and when Becky reacted with negativity and embarrassment Amberlynn gave this look at the camera that I can only describe as encouraging us to laugh at Becky. This face that said "omg guys CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?". She was trying to get us to laugh
with her rather than at her for once.
Recently, Becky also said that she "heard" that Amberlynn's haydurrs were saying that she probably doesn't listen to the bands that she wears shirts of and that we should "try her" because obviously, she does. The thing is, I've
never seen a comment criticizing Becky about the band shirts she wears. This is not a popular, generally circulated opinion. And the fact that Becky said she "heard" it and didn't read it herself tells us that Amberlynn is either A) extensively and desperately scrolling through the comments to find *any*, any criticism at all about Becky, finding one and going "OMG BECKY CAN U BELIEVE WHAT THEY'RE SAYING ABOUT YOU???" or B) just plain making shit up and lying to Becky about what the majority of the audience thinks about her to hurt Becky's self esteem, unite Becky and her as a team so Becky doesn't get any ideas about rebelling and to make Amberlynn feel better about herself.
This is an insane level of narcissistic manipulation and honestly, I wish more reaction channels would pick apart our gorl's psychology. It seems a lot of criticisms of her are very surface level and can't read between the lines to see the truly disturbing, fucked up shit she does.
Maybe it's because I was raised by my grandfather who was a
classic narcissist so I can pick up on it better but damn. People are really sleeping on some of this.
