I watched the first couple of minutes and thought this was supposed to be a parody of trailer trash and ALR. Saying he intended on getting this up earlier but he had seizures so has been lying on the couch and we had internet drama, and was up late last night... he sounds just like Amber with his excuses, and I thought the bit about the seizures was him using hyperbole to be funny. That's awkward!


I just checked and it looks like the ads are back up on the video. It brought me joy while it lasted at least.

It actually does make a little sense. Covid has left a lot of creators with lighter pockets, in terms of CPM. Advertising budgets have been slashed, and that does eventually trickle down. It's also entirely possible that the algorithms are getting smarter to people that abuse the system, and maybe they're rolling out changes gradually. More like a slow siphoning than immediate demonetization. One thing is certain. If it happens, it will be the actual end of her channel and nothing of value would be lost.

I bet she'd pull the ultimate narc move and just disappear forever if the money stopped coming in. Just to bask in everyone's curiosity about what happened.

Thanks for the info. Whatever YT & Adsense are doing in terms of monetization, especially in the face of CoVD; if they're bringing in gradual changes to monetization policies, that seems more than fair. It gives creators time to think through if they want to continue uploading videos if the return will be smaller which probably matters more to smaller creators or... if they need to make significant changes to their content, what they'll do instead or again - is it worth the bother?

I don't follow many individuals on YT save for the half dozen train wrecks I watch through here. But I can honestly say, I've dipped into quite a few 'offerings' from smaller creators who not only don't have interesting YT content but if they have a 'real' job outside YT, it's not the type of job that would bring in big bucks or offer much chance of advancement.

Most of what I watch, what I look forward to & enjoy is uploaded by people for whom YT is a part time gig - an aspect of their full lives they enjoy but don't depend on. If paying social media were to disappear tomorrow, they might simply have to buy a latte or 2 fewer per week. My favorite stuff is often geared to animal rescue & monies raised through AdSense is put straight to the efforts they're making; same goes for money raised through lives. Those creators feature their work & sometimes you never see their faces & only hear enough of their voice for them to explain what you're seeing when that's necessary. Their channel isn't feeding their ego.

It's interesting that often the most successful channels are run by people successful at their 'real' job. Their uploads are planned, scripted & organized & are tight - no awkward gaps, no time fillers & over time, they enhoy a steady rise in subs & views.

Gee, you'd almost think there's alink between having a successful, full life & having a successful, enjoyable channel.

So her monetization is back but it has like half the ads? What the point? I think I went back 10 videos and there were two that seem to have less ads, but the rest still has 7 or 8 crammed into the 20 minutes of absolute nonsense she uploads.

I guess it makes sense because she’s already pretty much made her money for those videos. At the same time,
if they keep letting her shove that many ads into future videos, whatever happened today would be pretty much moot. Some of her 20 minute videos have almost as much commercial time as they do content... I’d imagine someone at

I agree that it's extremely frustrating watching these people actually collect money from advertisers with their retarded behavior. But think of how much more satisfying the fall will be when there's actual money on the table. If it was all patreon and begging campaigns, the inevitable collapse would be much more gradual.
Instead, draconian/impersonal policy changes ultimately benefit the observer.
I think Amberlynn's next video will have the unmistakable undertone of stifled fury. Maybe if we're lucky, she will try to "correct course" and produce even more insane stuff to try to make up for a decrease in youtube gibz. And if we're really, really lucky, this might force her hand and make her show laygz.

There’s an app that plays YouTube in the background. It’s called TubeBrowser and it has Adblock built in to it, it’s a Godsend. It has a red background and white circle made out of lines as it’s icon on the App Store. You’re welcome and it’s free! It even plays YouTube when you are on a phone call but the person who called you can’t hear it.
