This seems to be an effort to crack down on CP (as well they fucking should if it is on their platform), so I don't think it would apply to people making fun of Amberlynn's weight.

That said, demonetization is an ever-present danger. You never know what kind of videos will become targets next. She should have a Plan B and maybe some money saved for it, but I suspect she does not...

What do youtube comments have to do with child pornography? That doesn't make sense because all they'd have to do to resolve that woud be to disable links in comments, right?

The assumption is probably that there's a REASON folks are posting CP on a particular video. I'm sure creators could contest it to prove they're not the issue, but if I saw a bunch of pedos on a dudes channel sharing that shit, I'd assume the youtuber is ALSO a pedo

That still doesn't make sense to me. I think it's just another step towards sanitizing the platform. They're more concerned about people saying the nigger word than they are worried about exploitation of children. If they cared about that, they'd ban all the creepy "kids" channels on youtube.

You're right, they should do that too, but they're a smart enough company to know that just letting people run around using language like that will reflect poorly on them in the court of public opinion, and that could impact business. I get it, people have their panties in a twist because they can't say whatever stupid thing they want and get away with it, but it's just smart business to nix that shit.

I've got to agree. There are very few places you can get away with saying whatever the fuck you want these days (this is one of them), but it has become bad business to allow it on other platforms. I don't believe in censorship in any form. If someone says something I don't agree with then I want an opportunity to tell them that or have a conversation about it. That being said I don't generally entertain idiots. Well, sometimes for funsies. I do think it's good business practice to keep the freaky shit to a minimum, though, so hopefully they start going after that as well as the racist stuff.
 
I mean I don't even care what youtube does, I'm just saying the CP argument is confusing to me.

It's very easy to get around this for someone like Amberlynn. She used to have mods on her channel, and she can have them again. If that happens, discussion will explode on FB communities because people can no longer comment freely on her videos. I dont think shell take a huge hit financially
 
Completely off topic but does anyone know the title of the video where Hamber says “This video is so raw you guys, FAWK!” She’s in a blue shirt and might have had a necklace on? It might have been filmed in her room.
 
Youtube as you've said have their priorities fucked up. This is most likely due to those NSFW, creepy not for kids channels generating a lot of revenue for Youtube. Fucking terrible really.
And Youtube wants to be taken seriously as a legit company. :story:
Amberlynn will probably be dead from lymphedema induced gangrene before Google murders YouTube for real.
 
Watching MSHPL, and it's amazing how many people weigh more than Amber but don't look as big as her.
 
That can likely be explained by height. Amber is only 5'3".
