He just said everything will be alright even though he's no where close to the goal....

SO WTF WAS THE POINT OF THE FUNDRAISER?

So he either:

A. Got/Getting Paid by Twitch.
B. Waiting for the big tip at the end
C. Got the tip already and not saying anything.
D. Lying about being in a tough situation

Or F for "Fuck you all, its ALL THE ABOVE ack ack ack *snake laugh*"

He is acting way too calm, and he's responding to people in chat saying they wish they could tip and help hit the goal, and he's pulling the whole "oh don't worry about it! tipping isn't mandatory! I'm just glad you're here!" schtick. If I could bet a couple thousand dollars that he's got whales on standby to fill his pockets and hit that goal in about an hour, then Phil wouldn't be the only one banking thousands of dollars today.

I think he likely got paid by Twitch for all the cheering and most of the subs (a few got refunded supposedly).
That Twitch payment is likely going to be memoryholed or be ban worthy if brought up in chat though.

So much doubt that this honest and upstanding person who has done nothing wrong isn't being forthcoming about the financial situation that he's made the core focus of his content. Obviously what has happened is he has resigned himself to the fate of having to move to YouTube at the start of next week and he is depressed about it but not going to take it out on the fans who came to see his wonderful and insightful gameplay!

An ideal situation would be Phil landing somewhere around $2k-$2.5k. This would allow him to say that his mortgage is covered, so he won't end up with another instant foreclosure, but say that it still leaves him strained on his other bills. This will give him a begging tactic, alluding to not hitting this goal, for 2 weeks. The first week will be needing to hit all the tips goals because he still needs to make his tax/'car registration' payments. The next week, he will need to hit all the tips goals because the week before set him back on his plans to pay the bills for the end of the month. Then we'll be at the start of June and he can beg for money to replace the Twitch payment he actually won't be receiving on the 15th.

Not hitting the unnecessary goal here would secure another month of begging.

He's clearly just trying to milk it in all honesty. He would have got his last payment from Twitch today, someone could have made some undisclosed donations to him off screen. He's not completely desperate at the moment because he doesn't have a reason to be, the goal was just a random figure that he pulled out of his ass to see how gullible his ♿ are into believing that they have to save Phil from being completely destitute and homeless.

Of course some of them know he's being a bullshit artist, but he roped what he wanted get out of the few pay pigs out of this stream.

A big last minute whale tip would just be the cherry on top.

LIMB this guy.

If he was dead set on playing this garbage game he could have at least made it interesting by roleplaying as a renegade since he always does the goody two shoes route and "accidentally" romances the dude.
Instead he's torturing his paypigs by listening to whatever the fuck anyone has to say and still doing the same boring shit everyone knew he would.
I'd rather get waterboated than willingly watch this.

Fucking pussies why haven’t you wired your retirement funds to the guy? He needs it for his mortgage

i'll believe it when i see it. addicts can always find more money until the big crisis hits and these maniacs need rehab just as badly as their deranged master.
When I say this, I am NOT counting tips behind the scenes. I've said before that I accept that it's completely plausible that Phil has had some major pahsitivity deposited directly into his PayPal account, that would 100% explain why he is totally chill and not buffing his begs to proc ungodly crits - but we are none the wiser to that, and nor would he ever own up to that.

But as for reaching the objective $3000 goal on stream as noted by the ticker it will NAHT happen, dood!
