A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

Further attempts to eliminate any sort of ability to defend against rape allegations. #BelieveAllWomen (except white ones being raped by non-white men)

https://archive.ph/lPehZ
One of the things we like to ignore is the shear number of false rape allegations there are. I've known a bunch of people who have been on juries for sexual assaults and rapes that clearly didn't happen, or there was a massive amount of evidence for consent before and after, and were clearly just reported as acts of revenge and should never have got to court. These women are only charged after they rack up a number of false chargers and the system can't ignore them anymore. It's a big part of why prosecutions are so low.

It's a hushed secret in the legal profession too. Everyone knows that this goes on.

So, now we are going to have a bunch miscarriages of justice forced through by Lammy which will utterly destroy any confidence in the prosecutions of all rape cases all because Labour are appealing for likes and retweets for a talking point from 5 years ago.

BBC did a special Quesiton Time around immigration and specifically invited illegal immigrants to be part of the audience.
Why aren't these people arrested and detained? Why are they, not only allowed to wonder around, but are being treated to allow them to share views and shape public opinion?
THIS is the "30 pictures to make you say fuck border n shieet".
Disgusting.
Emphasis mine.
What did he mean by this?

Keir and Lammy would both (miscarriage of justice) ten thousand individuals if it meant a single Labour vote.

The ones that spoke are all ones that have got refugee status, one after being rejected by six other European countries which says it all really.
As for the second question because various groups support them doing so. I've no doubt this will be a collusion between the BBC and another group to get them in, likely Hope Not Hate or their ilk.

Pressed on where he tried to settle, he said: “My first interview was in Turkey, and the second was in Macedonia, in Serbia, in Romania, Austria, and recently in Germany. But [I ended] here.”
He added: “These [countries] just [rejected] me, and they didn’t accept me.”
The fact that six countries, including one that will take literally any muslim man into its arsebossom, decided he didn't have a valid case might have been a clue that he was not, in fact, in danger in Afghanistan and should not, in fact, have been allowed to settle here. I wish Zia had made that case, but he's fundamentally cucked by the fact that he shares a common cause with muslim immigrants, no matter how much he dresses it up otherwise.

Which will then leave indians free to rape without consequence. Mission accomplished?

This is likely why the BBC is stepping off the tranny train. They're putting all their energy into trying to counter the rising anti-immigration movement and the potential threat of a Reform government abolishing the licence, which means everything else falls by the wayside.

They too will fall by the wayside, when Nigel is PM.

The BBC is worried that they'll no longer be the National Broadcaster and that honour might well go to GB News/Talk TV or some possible future amalgamation of the two.

It has every right to be worried - it's no longer a case of if the BBC goes but when.

Even YT commentators like Adam Martyn aren't very confident that the BBC will survive in any way.

All this question time has done is further enforce why these people shouldn't be here. The fact he was denied by SEVEN countries should be a massive red flag on why we shouldn't let this scrounger any where near us. Beyond the fact that these 2 were just there to say "you should give us stuff just because" and one pretty much admitted he acting as an anchor to bring his whole family over. It also highlights just how corrupt and frankly how much of the cool aid the BBC has drunk.

If the BBC not only thought this was going to be a good gotcha ya! on Zia of all people and didn't for a second think that bringing in these people without checking their story or background before hand would have been a good idea to get people on side with a sop story. Then they are either bafflingly retarded or are so into the propaganda then there is no saving them. Never mind the fact they caught one of them being fed lines through and ear piece.

The BBC deserves all the shit it gets for not only being the propaganda arm of the state but for facilitating nonces for decades. No punishment they get in the future will be enough.

Anyone notice this bad flu that is going around seems to be only affecting people who were jabbed?
I think it’s going round near us. I usually catch everything, with kids in school you just get everything brought back, but I’ve definitely noticed that although we seem to get it the same as everyone it’s just a day of feeling a bit off, maybe a temperature for 24 hours then fine, whereas around us they drop like flies .
I don’t consider myself Ms. Uber immune system either. Was at the shops today trying to sort Christmas shopping (left it too late this year) and noticed a lot of people really sniffling and unwell. Loads out at work.
The flu shots aren’t very well targeted this year, and apparently there’s a strain going around that hits the fat hard, so it’ll probably be a bad flu year
Wash your hands, keep your vitamin D levels up. Eat some oranges. All you can do really.

No, doom more, despair in whole, consume your hope, and shit out cope.
Are you saying I should look into some short-term rope exports to the United Kingdom because of a brief spike in demand?
Loss of juries, elections cancelled, ever increasing surveillance, two tier policing, non-stop influx of brownoids...when is the civil war going to kick off? I've been waiting forever.
As an American...

First time?
The heath has had pigeons in the operating theatre
Was a patient's entire skeleton missing when he woke up?
Sounds like the NHS wishes their operating theaters were as well-run as his.

This is interesting story detailing how Morgan McSweeney, Starmers chief of staff , funded a group called Stop Funding Fake News, which worked to demonitise various right wing platforms.

Heres Ryan Grim who's a hard left former colleague of Glenn Greenwald on with Steve Bannon of all people discussing it.

McSweeney is fast proving a greater liability than his Aunt (Sue Gray).

Starmer wants him gone - he is the one leaking out stuff to whoever will listen.

A lot of people - mainly forrinurs, are coughing their lungs up. Of course, with them being savage, third world, mud people, they have no idea how to cover their mouths and are just coughing everywhere. I wonder why germs spread so quickly.
Luckily i've always had an immune system that was immune to flu and cold, at wortst I feel rough for a few hours then I'm back to normal.

If anyone wants to know why Reeves is still in a job, look into the Fabian Society, as hinted at by @SirCliveSinclairdabbing. In a nutshell, it is a century+ old idea of socialism and how to run a society. It has gone through several leadership and ideology adjustments, most recently resurrected and adopted by New-Labour, the party created and headed by Tony Blair.
Reeves is a Fabian and a member of the Jewish protection society. Apparently her grandparents are jewish but I can't find evidence of it.

Anyway, the Fabians believe in everything that is happening right now, from taxation and destruction of the middle-classes, to full blown migration and the magic money tree.
While Fabians are not religious, new labour have evolved slightly and this is a fun rabbit hole to go down, have begun adopting Islamists principles and rules, broadly speaking they are cosying up to islam to help them bring forward Fabian ideas for society, while allowing islam in the long term to coexist in peace with them (lol, we know how that ends).

TL;DR - Reeves is a Fabian, supported by Blair and his cohorts and is entrenched in the lefts positions of power. Greens, independents, Your Party and all the other lefty guff fall on the sword of Fabians.

What's really weird is there was once a poster called "Somerset" on a gaming forum who would sperg out about Fabians, the fabian society and how everything was linked back to them and what the future would hold. This was about 10 years ago and I enjoyed reading his coherent but bafflingly insane rants. He was right about everything, so it makes me wonder who they were.

A wolf in sheep's clothing? Very subtle :story:

I was wondering what your thoughts on this might be.

Up until last year, I don't think I've had a cold or a flu for at least 10-12 years at least. Then one year back I caught one off my mum, and then the next time a few months later, I paid her back and gave one to her. We live apart and only see each other in person every few months.

I have not been jabbed. I have a chronic health condition which kind of allows me to escape it, plus I don't travel so I don't get caught out that way either.

Everyone I know who has got the covid jab has had Covid not once, but twice! All three of them! Anecdotal evidence, so fwiw...

The funny thing about the cold / flu thing me and my mum got last year or so was that while they were both very different in the way they presented, they were also quite similar. That is, they both lasted about 3 weeks, but they were not at Flu level organ popping debilitation. I know what it's like to nearly die from Flu. I was a young adult when I got Beijing Flu. That was a whole 4 weeks of not being able to breathe or eat or move from bed, with the whole organ popping pain in your back (kidneys I suppose) and the whole mind - trip delirium along with super high temps of the body burning up. Not good. Beijing Flu was a bastard and I can see how it might kill young babies or older more vulnerable adults.

This was the one I think - A(H3N2)

And I was a very fit and healthy young man when I got that. Non smoker, non drinker for the most part, sports, etc. etc.

After 3 weeks in bed, I thought, thank god it's starting to ease, then it got worse before it got better and that is when I thought I might die. Totally incapacitated and living in London away from my family and no one to look after me or help to feed me, I survived on tins on Nutriment and whatever. That may have prolonged it. It was a struggle to get enough water in to my body to counter the profuse sweating and fever. Delirium came and went...

Now, that is the Flu!

But this illness my mum and me got was like hacking up the worst phlegm you can imagine, like almost hacking up your entire lungs it felt like. And it would not stop. Day after day. Felt like shit. Not as bad as the Beijing Flu I just described but totally out of action. Pain as well in the lower lumbar region (probably kidneys). Felt like it would never end.

But it wasn't a bad Flu, though it was worse than any Cold you ever had. And we had it twice within like an 18 month period. And each time, the same, but different, without going in to more details - same period of time, same level of feeling 'not right'. Enough about that.

---

What just shocked me when I was looking up the Beijing Flu right now on google is the fact there's another 'Beijing Flu' going around right now in China. Have not heard anything on the news about this - and what is worrying is that it seems to be given the same Flu classification: (H3N2)

Beijing enters peak flu season with adolescents most affected

2025-12-02

Beijing has entered peak flu season, with the predominant circulating strain being Influenza A (H3N2), according to the Beijing Municipal Health Commission.

However, compared to previous epidemic seasons with the same prevalent strain, this year's epidemic intensity remains lower than historical peaks.

Among the current wave of Influenza A (H3N2) infections, adolescents have been the primary affected group, said Li Tongzeng, director of the comprehensive infection department, You'an Hospital Affiliated with Capital Medical University. He added that reports show that the 5-to-14 age group showed a significantly higher positivity rate compared to other age brackets.

And then there was this:

Crisis in China as overwhelmed hospitals fight horror virus outbreak sweeping country

Images shared on social media showed packed hospital waiting rooms.

Fri, Dec 5, 2025 Updated: 10:36, Fri, Dec 5, 2025

Images have emerged of busy hospital waiting rooms as China experiences a wave of flu sweeping the country. The same H3N2 strain currently causing a spike in UK cases is thought to account for 95% of cases there, with 17 provinces reporting high flu rates.

You wot m8?

the same H3N2 strain currently causing a spike in UK cases is thought to account for 95% of cases there

So literally Beijing Flu then, like the one that nearly killed me when I was a young healthy lad! I had no idea. Not heard this mentioned before.

Then we have this:

China Flu Cases Surge to Highest Level Since 2022

By Liu Xuhan

Published: Dec. 5, 2025 5:23 p.m.

Influenza cases across the Chinese mainland have surged to their highest seasonal levels since 2022, with almost half of all tests returning positive in late November as health officials warn the national outbreak will likely peak within weeks.

---

And this:

China fighting horror virus outbreak as hospitals overwhelmed by infection

Hospitals across China are overwhelmed with patients battling an airborne virus across 17 provinces - with children among the hardest hit and the capital Beijing going through a peak flu period

Reports from China of growing cases of the H3N2 influenza virus have hit the country, impacting multiple hospitals across the nation ranging from cities like Beijing and Tianjin to the provinces of Hebei, Henan, Guangdong, Fujian, Shandong, Shanxi and others.

Anyway, I'm a pureblood. That Beijing Flu set my antibodies up for life and I never had a bad flu like it for decades. I'm also hoping that that weird shit me and me mum caught have give our antibodies another boost again.

I know that that particular strain of the virus is considered bad by people who know about these things.

I just hope it's not a case of 'boy who cried wolf' because of the shit they pulled over covid. I'd rather catch Covid than another dose of H3N2.

If this is indeed the nasty strain going around, I'd say protect your loved ones and those most vulnerable. If a healthy young adult can nearly die from it then I don't know what chance someone more vulnerable has.

Then again, they say in the Spanish Flu Epidemic at the start of the previous Century it was the younger adults that died from it (in the second phase of the disease outbreak) because it sent their already powerful immune systems in to overdrive via Cytokine Storms or wtf. That makes some kind of sense to me, after experiencing what I did as a healthy young adult, so maybe it's not just older adults that need to be worried...

But whatever, I don't know. This is probably a much different strain again. Spanish Flu was H1N1.

Ah, I see H1N1 is some kind of related or subtype of Beijing Flu (H3N2) -

Major outbreaks of H1N1 strains in humans include the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic, the 1977 Russian flu pandemic and the 2009 swine flu pandemic, all of which were caused by strains of A(H1N1) virus which are believed to have undergone genetic reassortment.

That might explain healthy young adults dying from it as well.

Seems these forms of the Flu are very closely related, AKA Swine Flu and even Bird Flu -

A 2007 study reported: "In swine, three influenza A virus subtypes (H1N1, H3N2, and H1N2) are circulating throughout the world. In the United States, the classic H1N1 subtype was exclusively prevalent among swine populations before 1998; however, since late August 1998, H3N2 subtypes have been isolated from pigs.

Fuck, Beijing Flu!

Guess I'm good.

Urgh.... gurgle.... uhh guh. urgh.. argh.. uh. FUCK!

I may be gone for some time!
